Didn't it cost the person more to post this auction on e-bay than they got in the auction? I've never sold anything on e-bay, but I thought there was cost involved. It doesn't seem like this would be worth it in addition to the fact that something about this seems very, very wrong!!

Yes you pay fees to list and fees when something sells. This is crazy.

wonder if seller is gambling that even multiple re-lists of this will more than be offset by the referral bonus

still stretching the concept of family & friends when u sell the info, no matter how cheaply
