You can get these birds of prey anywhere. My mum had one in her garden one morning after it had caught a sparrow. We watched it as its something you don't see everyday.
Fantastic picture!
We had a hawk in our garden a while ago and it had also brought its lunch. It stayed for quite a while and left after it had finished eating, leaving only the feathers of its prey.
Sparrow hawks are getting very common now in our gardens as they know it's easy pickings for them. We had one last week, it took a blue tit and the blue tit was squealing as the hawk flew of with it.
It's not nice to see.
The picture you took was brilliant jo well done
we have seen stragne things where we live as late too - my mum saw a full grown adult wolf near bluewater a while back when driving to get onto the A2!!!!

I thought you meant sparrow hawks too, my friend who is a bit of a bird watcher says they're pretty rare now down here and I was really lucky to see it
