My class is amazing! They ALL had their emergency cards filled out and ready to turn in today, something that NEVER happens on the second day of school. I gave them two smiley faces on the scoreboard (we are competing for extra recess time)

It is going to be a great year, and I better enjoy it
the third grade teachers have 25 students and are leaving school each day with a headache, and feeling exhausted!

My inlaws came today to take the DD's to their dentist appointment (since I am at work) They want the recipe for my blueberry pie! THis is quite a compliment, as my mother in law is an excellent cook, baker, canner, seamstress, etc


I will link the recipe for all of you (of course I found it on the internet. I used a regular pie crust, not the graham cracker one.

My temp is saying 77 but I am cold!

I just put a sweatsuit on
since I am outside watching the neighborhood swim in the pool.

I was shivering in my shorts....

It is "spirit" night at the school

they introduce the football team and the cheerleaders
sell a bunch of stuff (food and HS items) as fundraisers

My girls and the neighbor ones that are here are begging to go.

I have no desire to attend
especially since I would have to go with them
it is not really a drop off event....
and there is NO parking anywhere near the football field at these events...

Maybe DH will be more easily convinced than me
since I said "no"
as did the neighbor mom (they just called and pleaded on the phone with her)

and she is having adult parties all day long
