I second everyone else who said to put rugs over them, they won't seem to jump out so much that way. Also, if you really hated them you could put a floating hardwood floor over them. Most engineered hardwoods can be floated these days and they won't be fake looking like some laminate floors.

I showed DH how nice the house your considering is, & at such a great price. He's always up for a move. I think he was a gypsy in a previous life.
I've told him repeatedly that the only way he'll get me out of the Tampa area (after finally getting here from NC) is if he buys me an oceanfront home. He's now on the internet looking for oceanfront homes in Texas.
He's even found some cheaper than what we could get for our house. Hurry, call all your friends & tell them to buy up all the oceanfront homes that are for sale.
