wed 21st september

we are packed and ready to head off to gatwick to do twilight check-in for our 11.15 flight tomorrow, the kids are collected from school at 3.30 and we are on the road to gatwick by 3.45pm ( not bad even if i do say so myself )
the journey is not good as we hit the m25 bang on rush hour

we arrive at gatwick and use the short stay car park, quickly offload the cases at the desk and head for frankies and bennys for tea
i had pizza dh had burger dd had burger and ds had chicken strips total cost £30.00 including tips ( no desserts or alcohol !!!!!!!!!)

we then head of in the car to find our hotel for the night ....russ hill i had heard so many bad things about this place i was dreading it, however my fears were groundless the room was clean and tidy etc. my only small gripe was they charged £8 to get us to the airport the next morning

our flight took off nearly an hour late and other than some small turbulance was very uneventful, this mainly due to the fact that i was asleep the whole time leaving dh to cope with the kids on his own

we then somehow ended up at the back of a very long q for the interogation at MCO even people who had been sent to redo the forms were sent through before us ( i was starting to get really cross at this point due to being a terrible traveller i just wanted to get to pop

we then went to the magical express desk and sorted out the transfer....i had major doubts that our TA had booked this properly but it was fine we described our cases ( we had no tags) and caught the bus to pop

after we arrived at pop we checked in at the desk, unfortunatly it was quite late( 6ish) and they had no rooms left in the 50s building so i settled for room 9308.
we went to the food court to get our mugs and a snack and then had a wonder around pop whilst we waited for our luggage. the cases arrived about 2 1/2hrs later and we unpacked and went straight to bed, we had a busy day and an early start the next day

aah thats easy, two strong piriton tablets about 2hrs before i fly knocks me out every time. only downside is i get a bad headache when i wake up
