Last day today we leave our cases at the drop off point and catch the bus to the magic kingdom. We are there very early as I plan to wait as long as it takes so ds can ride the monorail up front. Of course as we have loads of time the 1st monorail that comes along is empty up front so on we get.
The driver is really friendly (can’t remember his name sorry) I told him we wanted the contemporary resort but we would ride around a bit further because we had time. We got as far as the grand Floridian and then another family were waiting to ride upfront so we got in another carriage.
It’s a really different perspective from the front and ds was really pleased he got the chance to do this.
We got off at the contemporary and went straight into chef Mickey’s. We had a good table near the buffet. This was a brilliant buffet I was very impressed with the choice and quality of the food. We saw Minnie, Mickey, Chip and Dale at the table and then Donald duck and Pluto were in the lobby.
We had the family photo taken but it wasn’t very good so we didn’t purchase any.
After breakfast we went into the magic kingdom for a while, dd was very excited to see Alice signing autographs but they had closed the line so we didn’t get it.
We left the magic kingdom at 1pm after going on all our favourite rides and headed back to pop, DH had some lunch and the kids shared some snacks.
I was trying to use up our snack credits so I brought some Mickey crispy bars to bring home but we still ended up with 10 credits left over
The magic express bus arrived at 3.30pm to take us back to the airport. When we arrived at MCO three flights were checking in at once and it was a bit chaotic to say the least. We eventually checked in and went through to departures to wait for the flight. The flight wasn’t full and once we took off I managed to move too some seats with extra legroom and dozed off.
We got slightly held up at Gatwick waiting for a landing slot but other than that the flight was uneventful but again very bumpy.
We headed back to the hotel to pick up the car and had a boring journey back to the midlands.
So that’s it all over, some final thoughts:
Magic express was very simple to use and a great perk of staying onsite
Disney dining plan cost us £750 (ish) I believe that was well worth the money and I would do it again
Pop century was a great base for us and again I wouldn’t hesitate to go back
Thanks for reading my trippies and for all your nice comments, its surprising how much you remember when you begin writing them down so for that reason I have really enjoyed writing them.
