Longest you've let photos just sit on the cards without processing them?

So we took a trip Nov 28-Dec 5th a couple of months ago... I have yet to even make it through the first card of photos to edit/delete/process them. Two months have gone by since we got back. Granted, there were holidays in there, my wife is pregnant, life goes on, etc. but I honestly have felt very little motivation to even try.

What's the longest you've just had photos from an entire trip just sitting there waiting?

Are you kidding? Mine just stay on the cards lol Unless it is something I'm uploading here then I'll throw it on Photobucket and do a quick edit, I'm afraid if I start photoshopping I'll never leave the computer

If it's a Disney trip I'll usually do some quick edits while at WDW. I'll then do a more thorough job over the next month or so when we get back. Other photos usually get transferred from the memory card to the hard drive within a day or 2, sometimes we don't get around to editing for a week or so though.

Mine in RAW format go from the cards to the EHD (and back up DVD) fairly quick but as far as processing goes, still working on them. I can't do it all at once, I'm actually more consistent doing them in batches. I digi scrap so tend to process as needed but then I get on a roll and will do more.

I copy mine (RAW) from the card(s) that night for backup reasons and then place in folders until I can get to them. Some from really unimportant events e.g. DH's distant relative get-togethers Part 25a - just kidding....:) might still be in their raw and unspoiled state from 2009. But they are ready and waiting and my skills have improved in the meantime!

Hmmm... a Disney trip, or just pictures in general?

I never leave them on the card, but I can often take a while to get the photos processed... it's been about five weeks since our last trip and I'm just starting the photos from day 6.

In terms of general shots... a quick check indicates that the oldest shots that still need processing are from 2/20/08, so almost three years... and from a camera that I don't have any more. :)

edit: to be fair, those are actually Mrs Groucho's shots... but it's still usually my job to process them! My oldest are from 8/08; not much better!

They usually don't stay on the card for more than a week. I try to get them uploaded to the EHD and into Lightroom3 fairly quickly so I can reformat the card and put in back in my bag ready to be used. Getting around to editing them and to their final resting place either in a "processed" folder on the hard drive or into a smugmug, flickr or facebook gallery sometimes takes a while. I have one folder currently waiting to be processed from early January when I shot an entire 8gb card full at the 2011 Pennsylvania Farm Show.
