Longest you have ever waited in line?

I've somehow avoided any type of long line at WDW. At DL, however, I once waited 2 hours for the Indiana Jones ride. It was my first ever visit to DL and I made the mistake of thinking crowd patterns would be the same as at WDW. Ooooopsie!

70 minutes for Star Tours during a torrential downpour during SWW in 2013. The only reason we were willing to get into that line is because it was raining so hard (this was during one of the tail storms behind Hurricane Andrea) and there was literally nothing else to do since all SWW activities had been cancelled. It was more about having shelter from the rain than anything else.

Other than that, the longest was probably an hour(ish) for Rapunzel on our first trip in 2011.

The longest that we waited was 2 1/2 hours for A+E when they were in Norway in Dec 2013.
It was one of the best character interaction that we have ever had, so for us it was worth it.

Probably 120 minutes at Toy Story Mania... made the mistake of not getting the necessary Fastpass way back when FP+ wasn't a thing...

The longest wait I've ever had at Disney was 40 mins for SDMT during the Xmas party this past year.

The longest overall has been 3.5 hours for Forbidden Journey (Universal) on opening day. Followed by 3 hour wait for Chettah Run (Busch Gardens) on opening day.

To be quite honest though we don't mind the waits. Maybe because we started out as a Universal where waits are well over an hour most of the time for most rides (when you only got express pass for staying onsite). We just use the time to talk to each other or people around us. For us it's good because when we are on these trips it's just about the only time all of us are in the same place at the same time so we get to catch up. Add to that, we have APs for all of the parks (we are locals but still vacation here lol) so we don't feel the need to get ALL of the rides done in that one visit (no commando touring for us)

We usually avoid anything over 30 minutes and get to do all the big rides if we time it well and arrive at rope drop. BUT we have been during spring break and Christmas when we had to bite the bullet a couple of times to fit in everything we wanted to do. We got fooled at Soarin. Waited 20 minutes in a line that stopped moving and at 30 minutes were told the ride broke and everyone had to leave. Went back later and the posted 40 minute wait turned into over an hour. I won't ever do that again. We had done Soarin in California already so I don't know why we fell for that. :-)

Waited an hour at test track the first time we went. I think it was Christmas time.

We have spent more time in line at Disneyland. I think we waited 70 or 80 minutes for the Indiana Jones ride when it was new. That line can be really deceptive. We also love the Matterhorn and if you want to do that after rope drop you just have to be patient. It loads slowly and breaks down frequently.

I've seen 140 minutes but have never got in a line that was posted above 40 minutes

I forget how long the line actually was...I think I blocked it from my memory :) But the longest line we waited in was HP Forbidden Journey on our 1 day in Universal in 2013. We went specifically for WWoHP, and were going to wait however long we needed to. It was at least 90 mins, maybe 2 hrs? We actually appreciated how USO does their Rider Swap for that experience, because it allowed us to wait together in line rather than be separated for so long. DD was only 8 months, so she was happy wherever she was, and it was easier to all be together.

I wouldn't wait that long for FJ again, but might for Gringotts if it was a similar "we only have this 1 day chance" to see it type opportunity.

1 hour 20 minutes for Rapunzel and Flynn when they first started meet and greets.

Setting that aside, we'd never wait in line for anything with more than a 30 minute wait, we'd come back later. We travel off season a lot and up until this whole FP+ nonsense could do anything, and everything, we wanted like that.

This next trip will be a major test for us. It's the first time we're shackled with only having FP+ and crowd levels 5-6 at the same time.

The big issue we are going to have this trip is A&E. We're going to try and rush rope drop it and hopefully get it done in under an hour. Aside from that, we'll be sticking to the 30 minute limit.

We waited about 60 minutes for Forbidden Journey and when Spiderman first opened we waited 70 minutes.

At WDW my longest wait was for the Candlelight Processional - waited almost 3 hours in line for that once. I was sitting on the ground most of the time keeping track of the SECCG on my droid, so I was fine waiting while my family had fun.

At WDW, my longest wait for a ride was over 2 hours for Test Track. The line wasn't bad, but it started pouring outside so we chose to stay in line and relax while it rained.

Outside of WDW, many rides at Cedar Point or other similar parks with waits of over 2 hours.

My longest wait has been an hour. It is a tie between waiting to see Tinkerbell & friends several years ago, when my DD was in her fairy phase, and Baymax & Hiro last month. Both waits were totally worth it.

Fourth of July last year we waited in line for Test Track (first time riding it) and the wait time was 120 minutes. Four international touring groups beat us to the line which caused the wait time to be that long... :headache:

Just got back and saw 150 minute wait for Soarin and that got me thinking what is the longest you have waited in line for something you think is worth it?

When DH and I went on our honeymoon 4th of July week in 2004 there were insane waits for everything. I remember waiting over 2 hours for splash mountain...however, we were 22 year old newlyweds without a care in the world. We enjoyed ourselves and the lines didn't phase us. Now with three kids, the thought of anything over 30 minutes strikes fear in my heart!

Longest we waited for a ride was an hour for Gringotts (totally worth it) and characters around 40ish minutes. But we treated it as a time to sit down in the shade and rest our feet mostly. I waited an hour for Hiro & Baymax alone!!

2013....2 hours for TSMM because it was pouring out and we didn't want to walk around in the rain. It was crazy, but we met some really cool people. :D
