Longest wait for a parade to start?

We were at MK last Wednesday and the usual nightly torrential rain blew in prior to the MSEP which was scheduled to start at 9:00. We waited it out and eventually it kicked off some time before 9:30. There were announcements notifying everyone that it was delayed, so no problem. We were debating whether to stay or not, but it had cleared up so we assumed it would eventually get started. But I'm not sure if I would have waited much past 9:30-9:45. So I was just wondering what's the longest time you have waited for a parade to either start or to eventually be cancelled. Do you know if a parade has ever been delayed more than an hour? Thanks!

We waited an hour for MSEP...once, and that was only because we wanted a good spot in front of the castle. Haven't done it since, we find other places to see the parade and show up about 30 minutes early. Don't know I'd wait an hour again, unless it was just my wife and I and we could chill with a cup of coffee or something.

I've never seen a parade delayed an hour, not sure they'd delay it that long as opposed to just cancelling. Just a guess, I've never had it happen.

It probably is no longer than an hour but it all depends on scheduling of other shows and things like that.

I waited three hours for MSEP one time because I wanted a good spot to video the parade. I did get a good video for my efforts. But that was a one time thing. At the Halloween and Christmas parties I will occasionally wait an hour or so, if I am wanting a Main Street photo location, but on a regular basis I am more of a last minute Frontierland kind of parade watcher. As far as how long I would wait for a delayed parade, that would depend on my energy level and what was causing the delay and the conditions I would have to endure while waiting. I might wait 45 minutes or I might just leave.

Waited about 1.5 hr to ensure front row seating for Halloween Parade last year...looking back on it, I"m not sure we would do that again. We really didn't have to get there that early for a good spot.
