I want to dream here, so tell me-what's the longest single stay anyone's had at a DVC resort? Which one? What time of year?

10 nights in a 2 bedroom at OKW right after 1 night in a studio at OKW, January 2001.

7 NIGHTS............ I can't get away from the office for more than 1 week :(:( :( ........

I can beat that, but I don't expect it to last long.

12 nights OKW GV almost every year since '93

January 2001 - 12 days (2 bedroom) at OKW & 4 (oceanview inn room) at VB.

24 nights at the BWV in mid-Jan to mid-Feb '02. I felt as though I were a resident! :D I have plans for 5 weeks at the BWV in Jan-Feb '03.

Nice MiM!

My longest has been 15 nights at OKW in May. What a great stay!

We had a laptop ane reported now and then and you DIS'ers started to post - hey - you still there!!! Our dream is to stay for three months Jan, Feb and part of March when we retire!!

Niagra2,
Thats what we are planning to do for some of the winter months

also.
May I ask how many pts you have?:D

Enough for a studio but would have to bank or borrow for a one bedroom which would be our choice of accomodations. We hope to do this everyother year for 15 years!!!! What an investment!!! Love DVC. Sounds like a plan - we pray daily that this dream will come true.

We just did 11 nights at BCV and 4 nights at Vero (total of 15). But nowhere near 24!

Sweet!

Sounds like heaven!!! I dream of the time we can go for even 14 days at a time. Just reading this thread makes me want to buy more points for the future when we'll perhaps be able to stay for longer periods of time!

12th to 14th October 2001 at AKL followed by
15th October to 4th November in a one bedroom Boardwalk villa.

21 nights DVC, 24 nights total.

That took all my Magic Beginnings, all my 2001 points and half my 2002 points borrowed.

We go again late 2003, using the balance of 2002 points, all my 2003 and a few borrowed 2004 points.

We bought enough points for three weeks in a studio every year, but fell in love with the one bedroom unit and won't settle for anything less, even if it means going alternate years!

We stayed in a 2BR at OKW for ten nights the last two weeks of August. We literally "moved in" and it felt great!

At about day 6 I was wondering if we would get bored the last four nights. Before I knew it we were going home. We managed to stay busy a lot, relax a lot and enjoy our family time together.

Our longest stay will start in 8 days!
We are going to VWL for 13 nights.
Out longest trip before that was for a week in a non-DVC resort.

We usually try to stay 12 nights whenever we visit any DVC resort. I did the math once and it seems that 12 nights gives you the best bang for the buck (punch for the point???). At least that's what I keep telling DW Sue. :)

We've done 12 nights at OKW in 1999 and 2001. I'll be spending 12 nights in a BCV studio this December (during DIScon). And we've booked our next 12 night stay at OKW for June 2003.

In 2001, we went to the Contemporary for 3 nights after our 12 night OKW stay (which makes that our longest WDW vacation).

Funny I was expecting to see more posts like Mim's...at my other timeshare we ran into a number of people staying for 4 to 8 weeks...not surprisingly most of them were from Alaska, Canada & those empty states in the Northwest (I usually go to D-World in the winter).

Wow, MdmMim! I'm sitting here drooling at the thought of 24 nights at BWV, not to mention your 5 weeks there next year. That sounds heavenly! A real dream come true.

Not intending to be nosy, but may I ask if you are retired? I struggle to get away from work for more than 9-10 days at a time. But some day in the future that will all change. Then I can't wait to go down to WDW and cool my heels for awhile, hopefully during the winter months. :sunny:
