Cast : myself- 31 yr old -more excited than the kids
DH- 31 along for the ride
DD- 5 Belle fanatic
DD- 2 Where are we??

We arived at ASMo on Thurs 12/4 into the fantasia building. It was in the upper 70s so we went swimming. We then got ready and went to MVMCP. We arived at 4pm (with just the party ticket) and were let right in. We rode some rides saw some shows and got in line for the parade. It was awesome! We then watched Wishes from in front of the castle. I can't describe how wonderful it was. We were tired so we headed back to the hotel. Both the girls fell asleep in their strollers. The party was so much better than I had hoped for - we would definitely go again.

Friday 12/5
We ate breakfast at Cindy's. The girl's were excited to wear their princess outfits. It was great! The girls loved seeing all the princesses and the food was very good. I really liked the atmosphere. I am so glad we we're able to go. Definitely one of our top memories of the trip - my dh included.
We then rode rides all day - we never had much of a wait - most things were walk on the whole trip. We watched Mickey's Philharmagic twice - It was as awesome as everyone said. We then watched the parade and left to go to Down Town Disney for shopping. Wonderful day!

Saturday 12/6
It really cooled off - almost cold (or so I thought till we got back to Illinois) -anyway we had to wear our coats and gloves. We checked out of the hotel and went to AK. We rode the safari and no one was impressed with anything at AK at all. We decided to leave and check into our cabin at FW. The cabin was so neat - definitely glad we tried it. We then went back to MK to eat at LTT. I had no idea the food was so good. We loved seeing the characters. We rode some rides and watched Wishes from the back of the castle- definietly not as cool as from the front. We stayed till 11 pm before heading back to the cabin. MK that evening definitely made up for the bust at AK that day.

Sunday 12/7
Still chilly out. We went to EE at MK. Rode all kinds of rides and then ate lunch at CP. DD 2 loves winnie the pooh. The food was great and the characters led the kids around in a parade. It was a lot of fun. We saw Regis and Kelly - they were taping the Christmas Parade. We didn't watch - just rode more rides then left for epcot. DH rode Test track and Mission space - the girls and I got bored. We went to a few countries but then headed back to the cabin

Monday 12/8
Getting warmer. We went to MGM. Saw DD 2's favorite show Little mermaid, & playhouse disney. Then we ate at 50's Primetime. I wasn't sure what to expect but we loved it. The food was great and Uncle Dave was a lot of fun. We watched the Muppet movie, the parade and Beauty and the Beast. Then we headed back to MK for Spectro Magic and Wishes again. Glad we did it but it was so packed. A lot worse than the weekend. The only time I felt that way the whole trip. Watched wishes from the front of the castle near tomorrowland. Definitely the best viewing. Still amazed at how wonderful the show is.

Tuesday 12/9 Left for home and 10-20 degree weather - oh and snow!

We had an awesome time. More fun than I could have ever imagined. My normally grouchy, fussy 2 yr old never threw one fit. I wasn't sure I had the right child. She kept asking Where are we? She always wanted to be at Cindy's castle. My 5 yr old loved every minute of it. Even my skeptical DH said he loved it and wants to go back. The girls keep asking when we can go back. I can't wait to start planning our next trip!

Thanks for posting your trip report and welcome to the DIS! I'm glad your DH ended up loving it and wanting to go back too.

We're going to the cabins in Feb., any hints or advice?
Sounds like you had fun. :sunny:

With the number of people in your group, the cabins will be a good choice. They are very clean and offer you the option of having your own food (fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee pot, etc...). Our cabin was very quietWe chose to drive from the cabins to the parks, but heard that catching buses was easy. We also never took advantage of the camp fires or the Pioneer Hall as we were early to leave and late to return. Next time we stay there we will stock up on food before hand and find the time to enjoy some of the treats that Fort Wilderness offers. Enjoy yourselves!!!

Thanks for sharing your trip. Glad everyone had a good time and I bet you are excited about planning your next trip!

Thanks for sharing. I read these boards most every day to get a bit of sunshine and warmth during these cold snowy Illinois winters. We used to go the second week of January when the kids could miss some school and had about the same experiences you did, except for missing the holiday decorations.
Since the kids are now teenagers and can't get out of school as easily, we go in the summer but continue to love it more each trip.

I'm a fan of Regis and Kelly--what did you think? I would imagine Regis looks older in person and Kelly looks tiny.....
