Three Things...Gratitude Thread

1. Military - all the women and men of the past, present, and future, as well as their families, who have made the sacrifices to ensure that the rest of us get to live in peace, safety, and security.

2. All first responders- all the women and men who rush to trouble and provide assistance and care to those in need.

3. Nurses- all the men and women who are in the thick of things providing physical, mental, emotional, and social care and support to people who are in various stages of health.

We are very fortunate to have some very strong and wonderful people in this country who answer the call to serve and protect others.

Happy Monday Everyone
I love the start of a new week.

#1 - VOLUNTEERS AT OUR CHURCH - I volunteered to help with our festival this past weekend, and I was amazed at the amount of other parishioners there helping to make the festival a success. I’m very grateful for each of them.

#2 - OUR NEIGHBOR - He’s always available to help with something when needed.

#3 - MY MOM - When she was well, she was always happy to help with many different things. It’s very hard for her to not be able to help now - it’s somewhat depressing her. The only thing we need help with now is with the dog when we travel. She was really looking forward to helping with this, with our puppy, but she just can’t do it.

Amen to all helpers shared!

My friend S, who God has graced me with to give me His miracle of a full recovery. I deeply believe He will open C, the director of this facility's heart, and that before 5pm this evening I will at long last have written consent from C to resume working with S tomorrow morning. Extra prayers most appreciated!Thank you!

My beloved dad who has stood with me through so much. Today is his half birthday. I do have a few small surprises planned. I pray for the approval I ao desperately need which I know will be the best present he, or either of us, could get.

Love and support of so many family, friends, staff members, and residents here, who all stand with me. God has beyond graced me with His support team. All of dear you, too :)

Georgia-

1. I was born in Georgia, so there's that.
2. I was recently in Georgia and am grateful for the crazy steep trails around fields, even if I am still nursing odd bug bites.
3. While I prefer the mountains of the west, Georgia does have some really pretty mountainous areas.

Helpers-

Good samaritans - It's always heartwarming when you hear about regular old people stepping up in a time of need.

Friends - Ya know, the ones ready lend an ear when your down and need to talk.

Teachers - Underpaid and underappreciated...they are some of the best helpers out there.

One of my first real jobs the first one I held that was like a 40 hour week job the gentleman I worked with was a volunteer Coast Guard he taught me a lot of things and I have such fond memories of him❤️ he’s like a grandpa to me as I held that job for about almost 2 years and he was getting ready to retire I sure did miss him after he left

Friends you gotta have friends in your life I just don’t see how you can get through life without them

Fun coworkers- it’s always great if you can find not only a friend but a fun coworker the kind that you shouldn’t sit next to in meetings I have been fortunate to have found one at every job I’ve had and also been lucky enough that we did didn’t get in too much trouble🤣🤣🤣

Good Afternoon everyone!

1. My Mum - I don't have a lot of family left but I'm fortunate enough to still have my mum who often helps me out in many different ways, most often cat sitting to allow me to enjoy my holidays.

2. My team - while work drives me crazy at times, I have a great team who I work with who I can rely on to get work done and means I don't have to micromanage. We also get on really well and have a lot of fun and laughs both in and out of the office.

3. Emergency services - working in emergency services for 16 years has given me widespread appreciation of the work and issues faced by this sector, something I wish the general public could see and understand!

WOW 😮 WOW 😮 WOW

Yesterday, my wife who lives by her own set of rules, had to travel 18 miles by her choice...118 degrees on the freeway...a State patrol trooper removed the flat tire and put on the spare...we have no secondary vehicle for summer travel

Cheryl G listen to my difficult behaviors when it comes to c-scans.. she was very friendly and interested in why half of my face missing . She was a great technician 😁 😃 😄

Bringing his officers to prayer, the general had a slim chance to escape from the enemy and bring all of his men and equipment to safety...by escaping in the darkness and the only way to avoid the devastating combat was to cross a river with limited amount of water craft ..in darkness...it was a hasty retreat

... the sky began to lighten and there were still men to ferry...a benevolent breath of God provided cover as a thick fog that began to roll in and provided cover for the remaining soldiers...if not for this fog... the war would have ended and general George Washington would not have served as the first president of the United States
