The big orange Tabby looks like my Trouble. I lost him last night :sad1:

So sorry for your loss Nancy. We had to put our cat James (as in "Bond, James Bond" - because he looked like he had on a tuxedo and was a cool customer) to sleep unexpectedly this past Monday. He was looking a bit off this past weekend and then just didn't look right at all on Monday. Took him to the vet's and the news was not good. The entire family was with him at the end, even our DD.

I am so very sorry your Trouble is not with you any more. I'm sure he was a much-beloved member of the family. (And I love that picture of the Tiger & the cat...too cute!)

agnes!

I am so grateful that you and the other cat lovers here who have lost their pets were so understanding. I never liked cats and thought that Cat People were nuts......that is right until I got Punkin. The next day my DH came strolling in with Trouble riding in on his shoulder, where he kept perching until Buddy gave up and said "Okay, come on, we're going home." I feel so badly for you who have experienced the loss of beloved pets but slefishly, I am feeling better that I am not alone with those feelings. Mixed emotions at best, I'm afraid. I am also worried becasue the two I have left are the same age, within a year and they were barn cats as well, their start not so good. We lost Buster this Spring so I am just dreading the next shoe that drops :sad1:

Thank you all once again for your thoughts and know that I also grieve with you when you share your losses with me. :grouphug:

I lost a beloved friend in August, and I am still not over it. I miss that cat every day. I've never bonded with an animal like that before. He was the sweetest, most loving being that I've ever had the fortune to be around. I have his collar, I wore it as a bracelet for about 3 months and it's still on my coffee table. His ashes are on my headboard, so he's close to me at night the way he used to be.

My heart goes out to you, I truly know the pain you are feeling.

We lost my favorite cat a year ago, and I still miss him. He disappeared in Jan.--he was always an outdoor cat, but it was bitterly cold,a nd I knew he was gone. We found him in April, right by the front door (under some bushes). He just went to sleep and never woke up. We had a funeral and buried him with some meatballs. He was always our kitchen theif, ate an entire pot of meatballs once, another time stole a pork roast. My son read a poem and my oldest daughter played "Taps" for him on the trumpet. We felt liek we really had a fitting tribute to such an important member of the family.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled LOLcats...

a big hug to everyone who has lost a furball:hug: They sure do become a part of you:)
