LOL at DD6!

I was just changing the sheets and flipping the matress on my DD's bed. I lift the matress up and she has PLAY MONEY under there!!! I can't wait to her her explanation for this one! She did also have 3 pennies there that I'm putting in our coin jar for our cruise next year.

Just curious, but why put her pennies in YOUR change jar?

My DS4 and DD2 each have their own penny banks. DD picked hers out at the World of Disney Store on our last trip. I let the DS have all of the money from bottle deposits. Also, both kids have gotten money for birthdays and other holidays. DS4 has over $50!

We let DD6 save her own change. She now has a horrible tendency of patting her DGF's pockets when he comes to visit.

Now please take this next comment as a joke because its truly meant as one and not a slam - Do you think she's going to tell you she's hiding the change to save it from the coin jar?

Of course that is adorable that's she's hiding play money under the mattress.

Both DD's have been putting coins that they find in the jar. It's a family jar. We just started it about 2 weeks ago. That is a good idea for them to each have their own jar though!
I asked her about the money under her matress. She said she wanted to keep it in a safe place! She also said she is saving it for the cruise!

I prefer the idea of the family jar. It helps them feel they earned it and contributed rather than you just providing the vacation.
