Hello everyone,

I have found what I think is a good deal on airfare, but we connect through Boston and only have a 35 minute layover. I haven't been at Logan in a long time... The flights are on Airtran , which is in the C concourse. Anybody have any experience or advice about AT or Logan?

Thanks,
Gina

The airtran gates are right next to each other, so as long as you are not delayed you should be OK.

We flew AirTran out of Logan, and although I avoid Logan at all costs, we were happy with AirTran.
I'd be leary of a 35 minute layover at any airport, but that's just me.

Well, as long as the gates are right near each other you should be o.k. BUT I find that when we fly (which is 2-3 times a year), we begin boarding 30 minutes before our flight and they make the last call a good 15 minutes before our scheduled departure. I'd be worried you don't have enough time if you land even 10 minutes late. Your bags probably wouldn't make it in such a short time I think. I could be wrong, but that is cutting it very close.

in general luggage for connecting flights are usually the first ones off the plane

My father had a flight out of Logan on AirTran yesterday, and I went out for lunch in him, then went with him to the airport.

AirTran seems to have three gates at Logan, C40-42, and they're all in the same area (with its own security, but that shouldn't matter for you) so if you're not checking bags, you should be okay. If you're checking bags, I'd worry about the 35 minutes as well.

Also, his flight left a half hour late, and while I assume it's because the weather in Boston right now is awful, maybe your flight will get delayed as well.

Odd. Right now, according to weather.com, visibility is clear for ten miles and there are no delays in either arrivals or departures. May 21 around lunchtime, the weather in Boston was beautiful - warm, sunny, clear...it'd be truly surprising if any delays at Logan that day were due to Boston-area weather.
