Loft conversions

Just be carfull when you do come to sell With the new hips you will have to have passed building regs for conversion. The regs might ghange over the years so you might have to rip somthing out for the sake of £500odd

Yeah - we've already looked into it. We can never market our property as a 4 bed house due to lack of parking. It is officially just a boarded loft space. We've been advised that an indemnity insurance may be required but for the extra office space it gives us for the new business it's worth it (no more kids -no extra bedrooms required) :)

The original proposals were for a much bigger dormer, but this probably looks better.

This from the front and we have some veluxes on the front. We got another room off Kirsty's bedroom which we call her disco room and she has had friend's sleep in there. We are probably going to take that wall down in a year to two and have just one large room.

While we had the loft converted we also converted our gararage into another kitchen (the old kitchen is now the utility room). We had to get make our drive bigger in order to get planning permission and can now get three cars on the drive.

Hope it all works out for you.

We are planning for the girls to move up to the loft
Nah - bad idea. My advice is to make it into a swanky guest suite. Walk in shower. Enormous jacuzzi tub. Flat screen TV. Hot and cold running drinks service... you get the picture! ;) :rotfl:

Fancy putting her daughters above her friends Debbie! You just can't get the staff, can you? ;) :rotfl:

Don't forget the butler :teeth:
