do you have one?
Is it the kind that can be opened from outside the door?

Yes, we have locks in all 3 bathrooms! I wouldn't be able to use the bathroom if it didn't have a lock. I'm so paranoid when it comes to locks on the bathroom door, especially when I have to take a shower. And all the locks are on the inside.

We have locks on both bathroom doors and also the master bedroom. They are the kind that can be unlocked using the "key" (kept on top of the doorframe) or any straight pin.

It works great if the kids lock themselves in, but there is still privacy when you want it.

We have an old lock on our bathroom door. And it's not difficult to get unlocked from the outside. That came in handy one time.

Our house came with locks on all the bathroom and bedroom doors. They're the kind of locks that Disykat mentioned, so it wouldn't be hard to get them unlocked if a child locked himself in there. We may take some of the locks off when our kids old enough to get themselves into trouble, but I think it would be odd to not have locks on the bathroom doors.

Drives me nuts but no. We bought DH parents home and they have sliding wood doors on 1 bathroom, and both bedrooms downstairs, none of the locks work. We have changed DD door and added a lock-we can get in if we needed to. Our door and bathroom door do not have enough room, because of the way the house was built in 1954, to put new locks on. Can you say Brady Bunch bathroom doors, lol?! Anyhow other bathroom door has a lock but I try to stay away from that one, I call that the boy's bathroom!
