Got quite a few here. The Travel Sentry Certified ones are the ones that can be opened by US airport security.

They are called TSA locks and you can buy them from loads of places, Debenhams, Homebase etc. They are about £7 for 2 locks. :)

I bought a pack of two taoday from Tesco for £5.99. They are made by Samsonite.

If the TSA doen't have a key (they don't a lot of the time ) they will just cut them off.

We us Zipties on ours and they will replace it if they cut it off .If you do this take extras for return trip and a nailcutter to cut them off.

Same here, I use small bright orange zip ties. I don't pull them too tight and then when I get there/home I can slip a pen in the loop and twist and they are off. The main purpose is to put off the casual bag dipper as the bags pass through the airport baggage system. It also lets me know if the TSA have been into my bags, often they forget to reseal them or put the card in the bag.

In the US airport I most frequently travel from the CTX screening machines are on the departure checkin level, so I usually hang around at a discrete distance and watch my bags come out of the machine and either get loaded on the cart or taken for hand search.

:) Chris.

Don't forget to buy your TSA locks in lime green (DIS board member colours)!
