At MK & MGM, any recommendations for places to nurse babies other than the Baby Care Centers? Our twins will be 3 mo old and my wife is looking for some options. Any thoughts?

Thanks!!! The common theme is to find a dark air conditioned place that can provide some privacy.

I nursed my little guy (who was one at the time) all over the world on our last Disney trip! In fact, the thread linked above is one that I started before our trip! It all worked out great! Just find a nice comfy bench in the shade and you're good to go. There are also lots of nice, dark, quiet attractsions that are great for nursing, too. Nobody ever even gave us a second glance. Disney is very breastfeeding friendly and your wife will see lots of other nursing moms. We never did the baby care centers, unless we just happened to be in that area. They can be quite a hike back from where you happen to be when baby gets hungry - and a 3 month old nurses a lot!!

We're headed back in December and my little buddy will be 20 months old, and I imagine (since he shows no signs of stopping) that he will still be nursing. Have fun!!

The biggest challenge for my wife will be nursing two at the same time with trying to be discreet. I don't think she can do on the rides.

Hmmmm . . . You're right. That would be tricky! I really can't help too much, since I've never dealt with twins. If she has a nursing pillow or something that she uses at home to help position them, it might be worth it to take it with you and carry it around in the stroller basket. My only other advice, if she isn't used to nursing in public, is to practice in front of a mirror. That way she can see if she's actually exposing anything at all, which she probably won't be, and it might help her relax a little bit. Good luck! And cheers for your wife for nursing twins!!!

:cheer2: :cheer2:

She has nursed our first two at Disney before but the twins at the same time doesn't leave her any free hands. The other option of doing one then the other would take her twice as long. I think that nursing is one of the single greatest gifts a mother can do for their child! My wife is the GREATEST!!!:sunny:

Your wife is also lucky to have such a supportive hubby! I never would have nursed as long as I did if my DH hadn't been of the same mind as you. I always looked for shady, quiet benches. There are plenty of nice spots scattered around. My favorite was behind the Christmas shop in Liberty square, but I think it might have become a designated smoking area. (At least the last time I was there I saw someone smoking there but). They do have nice rockers in the baby care centers, which I am sure you already know. Have a great trip.

:cheer2: :cheer2: for your wife nursing twins. My hat is off to her. I often hear people with twins don't even attempt to nurse. (my couisn did it with twins and she said that itself was a full time job.)

I nursed DD1 for over 2 years, in that time we took 2 trips to WDW so she was nursed "all around the world." The second trip she was almost 2 so nursing in puplic was much more rare for us then. At 3 months old the best place to nurse them is where you are when they get hungry.

Since DD was born one month ago today I will be also nursing around WDW again this March 2005.

While it is not air conditioned, there is a quiet walkway in MK, it runs between Space Mountain and Toontown. If you are in tomorrow land, walk up to SM, near the aracde and follow the Speedway on your left. The train will come by periodically, and a few families wander back that way, but it is usually very quiet. Also, in less crowded times, if the upstairs areas in Columbia Harbor House or Pinnochio Village Haus are open they can be more private too.

i nursed my daughter all over the world last december. there are plenty nooks & crannies.........take advantage of them all....I usually get myself up so that i was facing away from the crowds & got my husband ot sit on the "open" side that was facing the crowds...with 2, don't worry about it....babies got to eat!!
