Are the lobster rolls at Columbia Harbor House made with real lobster, or that fake lobster stuff?

Judging by the $10.49 price tag I would say it's either

1. Fake stuff
2. mixture of tiny amounts of real lobster with tons of fillers

I was not impressed with the Lobster Roll at CHH. It was mostly filler and dressing, with only a small amount of lobster meat. I do think the meat was real, but there wasn't very much (hardly noticeable).

We had the Lobster Roll at the CHH and it was real. But that was some years ago.

I've actually read some good reviews for the lobster roll on places like disneyfoodblog. From that review it seemed like there was a good quantity of real meat.

DH loves them. He says real meat, lots of mayo which is what he likes.

I saw the guest review on DisneyFoodBlog as well and was trying to figure out how we could have both had the same sandwich only two months apart and have such different experiences. Their's did look like it had a lot of lobster meat, whereas the one I had did not (and I looked). Maybe it's a matter of whether you get one early in the batch or later.

I imagine a lot of factors go into the quality of counter service meals, from time of day to time of year, you know?

I have had this sandwich here at least 3 times...and each time it has been full of real lobster. It is a really good, very filling sandwich.

We had the CHH one in September, thought is was excellent, big chunks of meat.

I'd say this is a very poor imitation. I do think its real lobster but not very good lobster, not much of it and way too much mayo. Coming from New England, I wouldn't ever get it again. But if you are not from a "Lobster" region, you may like it. It isn't bad, just not what I can get at home.

If you want a good lobster roll, New England style, get the one at the Boardwalk Bakery!! have been born and raised in Massachusetts, I can say that is an excellent roll. very little mayo and no filler, pure lobster meat.

The ones at Disneyland are awesome. Lots of real meat in the mixture and two large slices of lobster on top. Never had them at WDW.

Where did you have them at DLR? I tried the one at Harbor Galley last October and it was mostly filler with the meat from one claw on top.

Happy to hear this! I am also from MA and was wondering how the lobster roll from Boardwalk Bakery was. Just might have to try it in March!

I've heard that the best lobster rolls are at the Boardwalk Bakery. I'm thinking about skipping Colombian Harbor House all together and just ducking out to the bakery after a morning at MK.

I've also heard great things at the Boardwalk Bakery lobster rolls and it's on my list of things to try on my next trip.

Just a note, but the Boardwalk Bakery is by the Boardwalk Inn over by Epcot (not MK), so it might take upwards of 30-45 minutes to get there.

Oh I know... :guilty:
But I usually leave MK around 1:00 PM or so and go back to the hotel for a couple hours. So this will just be part of my "break"!
