How big is it? Like regular hotdog bun size/length or smaller? And is BWB a sitdown type place or order at the counter?
I'm hoping to visit the boardwalk on Sunday and I think I know what I want for dinner

It's a hot dog bun, but top sliced, instead of side sliced. It's called a New England style hot dog roll, actually.

Thanks! I only ask because I had a lobster roll in PA a few months ago (first one ever) and while it was SUPER delicious it was a tiny thing for $15. I would say maybe 1/2-1/3 the size of a normal hot dog bun. So I was just curious what to expect as pictures can sometimes be deceiving

I've been hunting for lobster rolls for our upcoming trip in July and will be sampling all of the above! I saw that Capt Cook's has them as well. I will be in a lobster coma by the end of the trip.

Wow that looks good. I did not see that on the menu, but will have to think about going there now.
I like the one at the Crews Cup. The one at CHH is not bad either

according to google the food truck at DTD that has it is called World Showcase of Flavors and it gets very good reviews (comes with homemade chips)

Had the lobster roll for lunch at the Boat House a few weeks ago. It was very good. Lots of lobster meat, but also a lot of fries. My only complaint is that I had to share 1/2 of the Lobster roll with my wife.

There is no indoor seating at boardwalks bakery. There are a few outdoor tables, but that is it

Oh, I would like a review of the Captain Cooks one, anyone try it?

I didn't eat it personally, but on our December trip DH & DS ate it and said it was very good - and they are seafood lovers!

Not a fan of the lobster roll at contempo cafe. Not sure what put me off, but definitely not a NE style lobster roll. I am a big fan of the lobster roll (originally from the east coast) and this one is not a good choice.

Had the lobster roll at the boardwalk last night. Pretty good but presentation was lacking. They toasted the bun which was awesome but the thing literally crumbled in my hands as I tried to eat it. It wasn't even in one full piece when I got it.

But it was very good

I've had the lobster rolls at Boardwalk Bakery, Contempo Cafe, and Columbia Harbor House.

I agree with most of the PPs, the one at CHH is mediocre at best. I'm a big fan of CHH overall, but I won't get the lobster roll again.

The other two I find quite good. I am usually paying with a student meal voucher (I am a group tour director for bands and choirs). I make it a game to see how much value I can squeeze out of the vouchers, and those two lobster rolls are about the max! The vouchers entitle the holder to an entree, drink, and dessert, so the LRs plus drink and a big old cupcake at either place adds up to over $25.

Yes, you would want to pay OOP for that one.

I was so excited to try the one at CHH. What a let down. The only word I can describe it with is salty. I wouldn't bother.

I also had the one at CHH. It was ok. It's pretty huge and I did have a good portion of lobster chunks. But there was a lot of red peppers or something in it.
