Lobster Ravioli at the Coral Reef

Disgusting! I could not finish it. It was the sauce. My first taste I said it tasted like it came out of a can. I found myself trying to scrape as much of the sauce off the ravioli. It tasted like it was all butter or not even butter like bad margarine?

I asked the waiter if it's made there. He said yes daily but here is where I got mad. He said it's the Lobster Soup that is on the menu. They use the soup as the sauce.

My DBF sampled it and said the same thing....yuck!

Last time I was there I had the fish of the day I remember it was good but then 2 days later I had the Fish of the day at GF Cafe & it was wonderful. Now I cant remember what each was completely but I was so wowed at GF cafe & I told DH this is what CR should be doing.

They didn't offer the Fish Of The Day at lunch and we were there at lunch.

Anytime I see lobster I am IN....combine that with pasta I am sold but that sauce ruined the entire meal.

Darn. We are eating at Coral Reef for lunch this October and I was looking over the menu...the lobster ravioli was exactly what I planned to order. Guess I better look again!!

Last year, DH ordered the mahi mahi (I think) and I was so jealous because the lobster ravioli I ordered was not great. We have always ordered (and enjoyed) the steak.
