What suggestions would you all have for the best way to set up LLMP for my family on a day with split morning plans? My husband & one son are golfing one morning of our trip. I’ll be at AK with my other son using LLMP. We’ll all go to MK later in the day. I want our evening MK LLs to match up but don’t know the best way to make that happen if we aren’t all on the morning AK LLs together.

You might think about just using all of your LLMPs at MK later in the day.
you and your son could rope drop AK with LLSP for FoP and I think you'd be fine.

The one downside of this plan is that you wouldn't be able to book your 4th LL until late in the day after you badge into your first MK LL.

I haven’t been or used this but why couldn’t you buy the pass for all at AK. Then when you use your pass at AK you can modify husbands to MK when you make yours this making his start MK match what ever you get. Since he never entered the park his is modify and yours is select next ride.

She can't modify her husband's AK selections to MK until he taps in to one of them, and he won't be in AK to tap in to one. You can't tap in for someone who hasn't entered the park, even if you have his magicband, ticket card, etc.

They could arguably buy an MK LLMP for him and the golfing son (or change parks on the previously-purchased AK LLMPs, paying the upgrade charge) when she and the non-golfing son are ready to start booking their MK rides, but that would mean not booking the MK rides until the day-of, which costs them the 7-day-before (or 3-day, depending on whether they are staying onsite or offsite) advantage of booking the MK rides as soon as they can. And they would still be subject to tier restrictions since the golfers hadn't tapped in to anything yet.

Edit: Upon re-reading your post, I see you may be suggesting the golfers buy LLMP for MK and the non-golfers for AK. That still runs into the same problems as though you have the golfers not buy until day-of. You lose the advantage of booking MK days before. Also, you may not be able to get the same times since you are doing separate transactions for the golfers and the non-golfers. Available return times can change in the minute or two between transactions. It may be workable but may not be easy.

Thank you for your suggestions.

In one of the Ear Scouts videos, they say that if some of your party doesn’t arrive with you, you can visit a blue umbrella & they will unlock the other guests first lightning lane so you can book future LL together. Has anyone done this successfully?

Has anyone actually tried this? I know it’s not “officially” allowed but Disney doesn’t exactly have the best IT in the world…

Early on this was sometimes allowed but later reports were this is no longer allowed as people are supposed to tap into a park to unlock. However, not a large amount of DPs regarding this.

Any chance they can hit AK and tap into like Bugs Life at open and then go golfing? They don’t have to do the ride, just tap in. AK is an easy park to rideshare from fwiw.

That’s a potential option! We’ll actually be staying at the Dolphin. I should probably have them jump into Epcot to scan something. If two of us have AK & two have Epcot, once unlocked, I should be able to book things together, right?

Yes. EP would be easiest and it would unlock them but they’d have to walk to the other side of the park most likely as Remy is the only ride close to IG. Do remember AK tends to open an hour earlier than EP though, if time is of the essence in the morning they may be better off to tap into something at AK instead.

I might actually pick DHS, it might open half an hour earlier than EP and it’s the closest stop for the boat.

If a guest purchases LLMP for a park and does not use it but instead modifies to another park they will be charged the higher price of the new park.

Honestly as someone suggested above, I’d just buy LLMP for all at MK and forget about having it for AK. Reason being - if you wait to day of to modify you may not get what you want at MK, especially at the times that you need. AK doesn’t really need LL aside from Pandora, but you can buy that on its own.

Agree with the above—you really don’t need LLMP for AK, especially if your rope drop. I’d buy for MK for everyone and book at 7-days out for afternoon times.
