LLMP attraction choices

Yes, I'm overthinking this. 🤣 Is there a list somewhere of which attractions are harder to get LLMP for?

I'm assuming Tier 1 are harder to get than Tier 2. And I'm sure it varies based on park, day, and crowds.

But, for example, when we go to MK, we know we want to ride Tiana, Jungle Cruise, and Peter Pan (all Tier 1). When doing the original selection, I assume Tiana is the "better" one to choose, yes? So get that at the earliest time available, then hope to grab one of the others at some point through the day?

HS is the other park, where we want to do Smuggler's Run, Star Tours, RoTR, SDD, and MMRR. I assume SDD is the "better" one to snag early.

Trying to figure out which rides to prioritize. And these are just samples. When booking subsequent MPs, if Jungle Cruise and PP are both available, which one will be easier to ride later (so book the tougher one)?

TIA

I'm sure others with more experience can offer their opinions, but something to note, based on your example here. First, all 3 of those attractions are popular and hard to get. I expect you might be able to book a second one in the group much later in the day, if lucky. But, what I want to mention, is you can only book the one Tier 1 in advance. You know that! But once you tap in to ANY of your 3 attractions (not necessarily your Tier 1), you then can book another attraction, any tier, any park (assuming you have a park hopper). So getting any attraction as early as possible in the morning, and tapping in to ride, will open up your options to book another Tier 1.

Yup, got that. Just didn't know if there was a chart somewhere that had a "ranking" system. For the example above, I think I'm going to choose Tiana since we haven't been on it before to make sure we do it. But when choosing the next T1, is it better to snag Pirates or PP? Or are all T1s pretty much the same and all T2s are pretty much the same?

Anyone else remember the days when you just walked into the park and either went CW or CCW through the lands and not back and forth multiple times? Sigh.

Here's an article giving the author's priorities at Magic Kingdom (based on statistics, not just opinion): https://touringplans.com/blog/lightning-lane-multi-pass-priorities-at-magic-kingdom-disney-world/

Thrill data is a great source also. Can see when the ride sold out today, yesterday, and the average for the week/month.

I'd also recommend that perhaps you just open your MDE app some mornings and look at the patterns prior to your trip. You can see day-of how availability looks. As of 15 minutes ago, all 3 of the attractions you listed at MK are unavailable for the rest of the day. Perhaps between the great links provided above, and some actual activity, you'll get a good idea.

I must be doing it wrong, because it won't let me go past selecting who wants the MP, since we don't have park tickets.

If the tier one rides are you priority, you can also modify once you have tapped in to your first LL so that you basically have all tier ones (ex tap into first LL and then modify your other tier 2 so you have both Peter Pan and Jungle Cruise). For this strategy, you want to have your first LL starting at park opening time and scan in immediately (don’t even have to ride if don’t want to). This may mean taking a lower priority tier 2 that you are ok ā€œwastingā€.

For magic kingdom, Tiana’s is by far the hardest to get so I would for sure book that one first. On our recent trip Jungle cruise generally had more availability (ie earlier return times) but it can vary day to day. Which ever one has the later return time is the one that is closer to selling out, so you would want to take than one first to avoid losing out.

For Hollywood Studios, SDD normally sells out before the day of so if you want it, you would have to take it as your first pick. After that, there was pretty good availability on our trip for the others. Modifying to have all tier ones would probably be your best here. Again, later return times mean closer to selling out, but if you can get one not too far away time wise it would make sense to take that one first then grab the other.

I have a question regarding dining reservations and LL. My date to pick LL is coming up in a few weeks.

I know I've seen somewhere on this board where people had experiences with dining reservations and didn't have issues but I can't find the thread. If I have lunch reservations and I'm trying to obtain LL reservations around that same time - will it push the LL further out?

Anyone have recent experience with this? I would like all of my LL to be as early in the day as possible, but I do have lunch reservations on many days.

Thanks!!

What? The map view shows today's wait times for attractions and all 4 parks. No need to link tickets.

Dave
And shows LLMP/LLSP times or unavailability, as well...... Sorry, we have an AP linked, so I'm not sure if a linked ticket is required to see the wait times and LL status for 'today'.

Yes no problem.

You don't need a ticket linked to see the wait times on the map or even on the Tip Board. The Tip Board will show the Standby Line wait times, and the next available LL time or indicate if there are no LLMP or LLSP available for that attraction.

It’s a bit of a luck of the draw what the Disney app thinks is an appropriate overlap. I had read people saying they could get as much as 30 minutes overlap with LL but when I booked recently the app wouldn’t allow any overlap. I’m not sure what time your lunch reservations are at but you should still be able to get 2 before even if bumps one to after lunch. On the day of once you have redeemed your first LL you can modify and have as much over lap as you want.
