I would consider paying the crazy costs for fun once or twice, if it were for park hopping and unlimited re-rides. But limited to one park and once per attraction? I basically do that on my own already, thanks to being pretty savvy at refreshing

This is somewhat of a stretch considering those deluxe villas are technically a part of the same resorts listed in the first list. It's really more like 8 deluxe resorts and 12 if you count Swan, Dolphin, Swan Reserve, and Shades of Green.

But I still agree with you. There are too many deluxe resort guests at Disney to offer this for free like Universal does. It would diminish the overall experience.

Its less about the number of resorts and more about the number of rooms anyway

Maybe I am confused. Why would anyone actually need this? The normal pay system works and I end up riding everything through the day with it. Maybe a majority of people don't know how to use it?

Does it even include ILL? Which I wouldn't care if it did cause I still wouldn't buy it

My family would use this. It's much simpler to use and we can ride what we want when we want.

I think the similarity is that lots of people in this income bracket will try it once, say it was great, then say they don't need to do that again for the cost, which Disney will certainly adjust as needed. But who knows!

Disney will adjust the price, and number of passes sold, based on demand. No cost to Disney. Disney can also expand the number of guests to include moderate and.value resorts or decrease the number by limiting to club level guests

The starcruiser cost $$ to build and operate.

I think the pricing is on point but they really need to get rid of the ride once option or offer 2 versions one time use and unlmited.

I would definitely consider it for MK for our family of four during a short trip!

I’m already prepared to spend $100 per person for Multipass plus ILL for 7DMT and Tron, so that’s like a $100 coupon on the Premier Pass, right?!

I do not agree with the class warfare complaints. Deluxe guests are piloting a new and pricey product. It is no different from any modern tiered experience.

If I pay the outrageous ticketmaster price i can go to the show, see and hear the band, and buy some high priced merch. If I pay 10x as much I can stand in the pit and maybe get a 4 second meet and greet with the opening act. I used to be able to get up front with a general admission ticket I stood in line to buy paying cash. Those days are done just like paper fast pass. I can be nostalgic about it but it won't replicate the experience.

I have nosebleed seats for Metallica next spring and a cheap resale dvc contract. Super happy with both!

Also agree the pricing is fair. EE, EEH, RD, & Park Afterhours events still the best bang for your buck by far. You can RD to be ahead of the crowds and get a lot done without spending any extra money.

Do I think it’s overpriced? Yes.
Do I think it will sell? Yes.
Will I buy it? No, I don’t buy the regular LL products, so I will not be buying this more expensive option.

I don’t think I am the target demographic for this, since I don’t visit the parks around crowded holidays and, as an AP, if I miss something this trip I will see it the next one. However, I can see the appeal for people who are doing a one-and-done trip, a honeymoon, or visiting at the most crowded times of the year (assuming they will offer it at Christmas and Easter). When you have a limited amount of time, that time becomes more valuable and people will spend money to maximize that time.

We have gone to Disney the last 2 years and rode every ride. We already decided to move to less time in the parks for rides with the goal of only hitting the 4 or 5 we like the most.

A little while ago I questioned park hopping because we did not do it the last 2 years but next trip, we will go big on park hopping to see how our new plan works for us.

I feel like this is for people with way more money than time - think a VP at some big company taking the whole family for three days the week of Christmas and staying at the Grand Floridian. They don’t want to fuss with refreshing or getting up to rope drop or reading about strategies to ride everything with low waits. They don’t have time to learn all the ins and outs of whatever new system Disney has come up with. They want to be able to sleep in, go to the parks, get on everything whenever they want, and then go back to the resort at 2 for a nap before their dinner at V&A (or hitting the golf course, pool time for the kids, etc.)

Personally I have more time than money and would rather add more days to my park tickets than pay for this, but I’m not the target audience for this.

Two arguments here that I think are fair and a bunch that I find ridiculous:

The two fair ones are:

1. Can't wait to try it, I'll just divert money from something else to fund it. And...

2. It's not for me price-wise, but I get the idea and it will be great for some.

Let's call it to be fair, 200 per person. Cause I highly doubt it stays in the 100's during the year except the most slowest times possible.

So family of 4. $800 dollars, plus, lets call it $184 per person for MK.

So you would be willing to pay $1,536 to be able to go on the rides anytime you want for 1 day?

Not for me on this one lol To each their own who want to spend that kinda money though

Again, that is just me cause I have no issues paying for the normal one and doing the same time. I can deal with picking times and saving a lot of money to spend on other things there. It pays for the 1 or 2 rides that have extremely long waits. After that, it loses its value with me.

I think it works more for universal, cause you can literally do both their parks in 1 day with the express pass, or MAX 2 days. Disney is different due to the duration of trips for families. I will add up to a ton, even adding it for one day imo

I rarely feel the need to cram that much into a single day, but I’d consider buying it if I was hosting a first-time visitor on a shorter trip I'd do it then (and probably in some other specific situations). To me, it's the VIP tour without the tour guide or the rigidity that comes with a tour. I usually travel with a group of 3-4 total and I have 0 interest in finding 6 other people to split a VIP tour with. It's so much hassle just getting 3-4 people to agree on what to do next--I can't imagine doing it with 10. I'd much rather feel the freedom to do what we want at our own pace, spread across the entire day, than cram as much as possible into a 7-hour VIP tour.

I think this whole pass is being very overblown. It's going to appeal to relatively small number of people who have a lot of money and no time or inclination to want to learn how to use the regular system. Anyone comfortable with refreshing the app can get nearly all rides in a day with the normal pass (at multiple parks if you really want to be a power user). I think this will have a negligible effect on LL availability for the regular system. The people buying this would have bought individual LL anyway so no increased usage there. And other than the most peak times MK LL are fairly easy to get so they likely would have gotten a good portion of them anyway. I see this as 90% a convenience factor and 10% affecting the general pool of available times. You're really not getting a whole lot more than you could get before - you're just saving yourself a whole lot of aggravation from having to schedule everything.

Well, after reading here and the opinions people have of those who will purchase it across the interweb, if we do decide to purchase it for our MK day, I'm certainly not going to tell anyone about it.

Now, this is just anecdotal, but I will say that I'm a little surprised at the interest level among my clients. I didn't expect many to bite, but about 2/3 of my Deluxe Resort clients who are traveling between October 30 and the end of November are interested in purchasing the Premier Pass for at least one of their days if possible.
