LL Premier Pass is here!

Now, this is just anecdotal, but I will say that I'm a little surprised at the interest level among my clients. I didn't expect many to bite, but about 2/3 of my Deluxe Resort clients who are traveling between October 30 and the end of November are interested in purchasing the Premier Pass for at least one of their days if possible.

I think, when it comes down to it, the pull of riding whenever you feel like and not playing with switching times is a pretty big draw.
I want to ride Tron at the darkest dark? Go for it! I want to try and time People Mover to the fireworks? Do it! To wake up and go to MK and know that's it, I can do everything as I feel, is pretty cool, no?

Is it for families? I don't know anyone's financial situation, but yes, that can get very, very pricey.
I don't think it's necessary for the other parks and we'd only do it one day for MK. We both just have to cough up between $300/$400 each (which we can do by either just saving more or skipping a couple pricey dinners between now and December, maybe this can be our Christmas present to ourselves) and we may or may not purchase for MK.

I can see this pass being useful at certain parks, like MK and I’m not sure, maybe DHS for TS and Star Wars areas. We paid alot for the LL Singles on our last trip, and even those sold out quickly. People will definitely be buying these to save time on their trips esp if they are already staying at the Deluxe resorts (not dvc).

One thing that occurred to me , despite the initial sticker shock :

Think of this as a Cruise optional excursion add on (just one example)

for a family of four(4) - rough numbers park Tix + skipAllLines = 150+400 (rounding) 550 per day x 4
that's "only" a 2200 ish add on - which I know folks who have cruised that get some "exclusive" tour ...I'm sure there are other examples

yes - I agree this is high- but I bet Disney execs are looking at other vacation destinations and seeing exactly what they can up-charge for. Just please - I don't want to hear yet another quote from Iger acknowledging prices "may" have gone too high, too fast , during and post-covid.

Where the non-adopters get hosed, is if enough people $$ for this - the folks who don't, are now waiting longer for the same rides through no fault of their own
Be interesting to see how this plays out.

I still "want" (dvc member) built in baseline (2 LLMP/SP for deluxe guests) - pay for N more .....if you choose that option

As a planner, I just don’t see the appeal in paying more for something I can get for the price of regular Multipass. Between Fast Pass and Genie+, I’ve been scheduling return times for rides for years. For the most part, I’ve always been able to ride the rides I want, when I want. And if a return time was later than I wanted, I simply refreshed for a better time or I just went with it. So yeah, aside from the high price, this is aimed at me. I’m pretty proficient with the process and I don’t spend that long on my phone to make that happen. So Disney can keep their Premier Pass. I just worry that they’ll raise the price on the regular Multipass to entice people to get the Premier if they are already staying Deluxe.

I am sort of the same- I did REALLY well over the summer booking rides with LL and LL+... I got 6 or more every day and for rides everyone wanted to go on, too.

BUT...the idea of waking up whenever and going on whatever just once??? Without waking up at 6:51 when everyone else is still fast asleep? And almost being forced to rope drop versus not even setting an alarm? That's pretty appealing too.

I feel like this is for people with way more money than time - think a VP at some big company taking the whole family for three days the week of Christmas and staying at the Grand Floridian. They don’t want to fuss with refreshing or getting up to rope drop or reading about strategies to ride everything with low waits. They don’t have time to learn all the ins and outs of whatever new system Disney has come up with. They want to be able to sleep in, go to the parks, get on everything whenever they want, and then go back to the resort at 2 for a nap before their dinner at V&A (or hitting the golf course, pool time for the kids, etc.)

Personally I have more time than money and would rather add more days to my park tickets than pay for this, but I’m not the target audience for this.
I think that VP just moved their HQ from Chicago to Miami and is a Golden Oaks member.

Interesting! Any feel for their pricing expectations? Like are they expecting they’re going to be getting MK at $200/person or are they being more pragmatic and expecting $300-$400 range?

I haven't read through all these pages so I'm not sure if this was mentioned but being a family that only stays at deluxe I wish they did like Universal and gave the express/lighting lane free to whoever stays at deluxe resorts.

I think it’s like genie+. $15 felt ridiculous at first and now we’re gladly paying $39.

No you wouldn’t. You’d complain after prices went up $400/day for the hotels if they did that…

I'm actually in the opposite boat as a major planner - it is so exhausting while being in the park having to constantly refresh to try and get the rides we want when we want them, doing the mental math on what's near what so we aren't crisscrossing the park, etc. We go a lot (4-5 times/year) and this last 2-day visit about wore me out....I can totally see splurging on this if we were taking friends/family who don't go often and I wanted to just relax and be in the moment with them while in the parks.

Except you cant stand in line for a long time and do the cruise excursions without paying more. Excursions are an extra completely different thing than the cruise itself. This is just not standing in line for the very same rides to paid to get into the park to ride.

For a short trip it wouldn’t be that bad. For 2 days for 6 people at $350 ($4200).

We have a 3 day trip in December and will buy this for our HS day. If we were bigger MK people we'd buy it for that day as well...but we only usually spend half a day there at most on most trips. AK and EP we don't see the value for our situation as we can get most things we want done at those parks with the current LL offering.

I personally think this is a great addition. We've always bought whatever LL iteration is available....but could never justify the cost of the VIP tours....especially on our trips with just me and my hubby. It will allow us to have VIP-lite days at a fraction of the tour cost.

This is a hard no for me. Even with a discount I’m paying about $500 a night for a deluxe resort, add about $90 a day for park tickets. In top of this for a family if 4 for the Oremier pass at MK works be another $1400. I might be Disney crazy but not crazy enough to pay $2000 a day. I’ll stick with the multiple and single pass lightening lanes

I know this offering is for “ease of use” but with FP+ and even Genie+ (at wdw and especiallly at DL) I tend to get almost all the rides I want anyways. Haven’t used the new system yet but I’m sure I’ll do ok. Of course I know the nuances to the system from here. I’ll gladly pay $30 for 75% of what I want than $300 for 100%. To each their own.

However, from a publicity standpoint it’s just another “Disney is for the rich” data point which I thought they wanted to avoid.

This is exactly where I'm at.

To me, as an AP holder and DVC member, I am not going to pay the money for the premier pass. Especially as I don't truly see it as a game changer and it is different than the Universal Express Pass IF you are in their deluxe resorts.

Frankly, I really like Genie+ the best out of all options. Stacking was great. Now, I'll be at WDW Oct 29-Nov 3 and it'll be my first time with the new lightning pass system so we'll see. My gut tells me I wont like it as much as the Genie+

One thing I didn't see on the premier pass is if they are adding it the VQ rides or just the LL rides? It appeared to be LL rides only.

The problem in comparing it to Universal is the amount of rooms that would qualify at WDW vs Universal at this point. WDW has like 6 times the amount of rooms that Universal does.
