LL Premier Pass is here!

Thr Universal model is frozen to the 3 original hotels; to the original 2 parks. New hotels; Sapphire and Helios guests don't get express passes. Volcano Bay and Epic Universe don't give complimentary express pass access to any hotel guests
Yeah - I have a feeling that might change - but not in a good way.

I would not be shocked to see them switch all the signature hotels to be single use express pass - at least for the two existing parks.
Might be an option to then upgrade to unlimited for a fee.
It will be a while before they even sell express for Epic IMO.

I guess we will know for sure once they announce the opening dates and rates - but I can't see them not having it in their most expensive hotel. Makes no sense at all.

Its been a bit of a discussion as honestly the Helios is very underwhelming for the rumored prices.
The rooms don't seem to be anything special - actually quite basic IMO.
They do have some nice common areas - but I really don t think that is enough - especially without express to get me to stay there.
Can't I just take a bus to Helios from the hub? That gets me access to the restaurants and common areas unless they restrict it.
From there cant I just use their entrance to Epic?
We don't know yet so I guess we will see.

Someone else mentioned that Universal promises it to be about half the time of the regular line - for the most part its not anywhere near that in my experience and its just wording to cover themselves. No doubt it happens on occasion, but its not the norm.

No chance. Too many deluxe rooms to back this workable.

I don't think it's even viable for just club level guests.
I put nothing pass Disney lol. I could absolutely see them giving this to club level guests paying rack rate

I dont know I never heard people say they feel rushed from VIP but not sure. You would get backstage so its like a tour on top of it.

Find another group of 4 that will join you based on what you will want to do and you are now ahead in the math.
you can only have 10 people though, and we have 8. Still, why would I want to spend more money on 1 day than I would over 4? I just don't see the appeal. If I do this, I could take my time in each park rather than hit 3 or 4 things here, run over there, do those, and so on? I'm going to be there 5 days anyway, so I'm still going to be in the parks those days. If I could find 2 random people to join my group, then sure. If I broke it down, including taxes and tip, 10 ppl would be about 1075pp for the tour, so I'd save a little over 2 grand. But that's assuming I could find just 2 ppl willing to join my group and do the things I wanted to do.

I'd maybe do this for Hollywood Studios. Maybe. The tiering of rides makes Multipass a little more complicated there based on the rides we want to ride. All the other parks I would just stick with Multipass and ILL.

Also if they offered LLPP to people paying rack rate (like DDP) it would mean it’s a slow time and wait times are already low. LLPP, let alone LLMP, won’t even be needed.

yes they do.

And yet, you are in no way required to do so. Everybody wins!
Who wins? A very small % of people while Disney chooses to ignore everyone else? Limiting this to deluxe resorts tells you a lot. Anyone staying at All-Stars need not apply since we assume you don't have that kind of money anyway. Coronado Club Level? Yep. Not for you either.

You could say this about everything. APs, Park Passes, LL, Hotels, Food, anything. The whole point of the place is to make it somewhere you want to be since you are in no way required to go.

Disney is saying pretty much what you are: If you don't like it, don't bother showing up

This isn't the first thing that has signaled that stance and probably won't be the last.

The problem is that this place used to be somewhere you would go and get value from the money you spent. Those days are long gone and they seem to be leaning into the fact that if you want the same experience you had just 5 years ago, either you can't, or you're going to pay 10x for it.

Guest to $$$ is all that matters now.

Everybody loses

I could absolutely see them offering it for free as a special offer down the line when staying deluxe too.
Universal has 2400 Deluxe Rooms.

Disney Deluxe DVC etc they are offering this to is over 13,000 rooms.

Not a good idea on many levels.

THIS^

AND as it is right now, the price paid is 100% profit to Disney so this makes the most sense. Easy money.

You offer something a small niche group will buy, you don't really impact the lines too much and you pocket pure profit.

Win/Win.

you guys, I was just speculating that they would find a way to use this as a special offer down the line. I have no idea. Don't take me seriously lol

Well at these prices you can easily spend the money on a three night DCL cruise (inside rooms) that includes all your food for same/less per day/night. I'm a bang for my bucks kind of person and even though I *could* afford it I refuse to spend that amount of money on one day when as others have pointed out you can get close to all you want to do with LL or even one of the special events (if you spend the time on rides vs shows/parades/characters).

If you're willing to spend this for your family, can someone explain to me why you wouldn't just get a VIP tour instead?
honestly, I think they are maybe trying to gear more families this route? When we were there in March, I saw sooo many VIP tours.

If I counted right, HS has 14 LL attractions, so at a minimum you're paying $19 each for what's basically an unscheduled LLSP. That includes the Frozen singalong and Disney junior dance party thing. And Muppets which never has a line. If you take those out you're paying almost $25 a piece and that's at the minimum price Disney has listed. That's more than the cost of a Rise LLSP some days.

Maybe they're hoping some former DAS people will pay it? That's the only other audience I can see benefitting from this beyond just the luxury market that will pay for any convenience offered.

As far as doing a VIP tour instead, I think this is more appealing because you can split up your day if you want an afternoon break or don't want to feel like you're on the clock. You also won't stand out so much when you're entering LLs.

They’d kill it first. Those are the target spenders. Launching to Deluxe only was quite telling, the only deal here is vs a VIP Tour. If you want this they expect you to be dropping Bucks already. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it stay limited in scope (like the CL FP program that never expanded beyond CL guests).
