Napa Rose Open Date?

I’ve been trying for weeks to book the Chef’s Counter for a party of 4, but the only available reservations to book are for parties of 1 or 2 (even when checking right at 6AM when the reservations release each day). I ultimately ended up booking a party of 2 and having another member of my group also book a party of 2 for the same day and time. We’ve both left voicemails on the Napa Rose line about having the reservations combined into one party of 4, but no one has called us back. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Also, any thoughts on why they are restricting Chef’s Counter reservations to parties of 1 or 2?

Is dinner on your arrival day? If not, I would go the night before and tell them in person. Are you staying at a Disney hotel? If so, the concierge there might be able to help.

As long as it is the same date and time you will be seated in the same section. You should be able to ask to be seated together, but also don't forget that it is a 6-top and ignore the other couple (unless they seem like they would prefer to be left alone).

We had the pleasure of eating at the chef's counter last weekend and learned that there are three time slots because they stagger the three counters by 30 minutes each. We were seated in the dessert section and one of the couples was throwing a hissy fit because she wanted to be in the middle section, which was already seated and full. It was so bad Napa Rose recommended they leave and reschedule for their preferred section, which they did. The restaurant then offered the slot to a different couple which was a very happy surprise for them. We all bonded over the experience and the six of us had an amazing time.

I don't know why Disney wouldn't let you book for 4, unless they are trying to accomodate as many groups as possible while they are still new??

So, did anyone like the food since the reopening and think it was worth the price?

I ate there about 4 years ago and loved it. I booked it for our upcoming trip but didn’t recall seeing the new pricing ( but I was just trying the snag a spot).

We have an 11 and 15 who are good eaters and I’m just trying to figure out if we should keep the reservation.

I'm pretty sure the new fixed price is the no-show fee ($188 main dining, $250 chef's counter), so it will be that plus whatever drinks you order, tax and tip.

Whether something is worth it is completely subjective. We had an amazing time at the chef's counter, but that was just for 2 people. I was glad we went because the newly remodeled restaurant is gorgeous, but for us it's definitely a celebrating something special reservation (in this case, we were celebrating that they reopened - lol) not a place to eat every time we go to the parks.

You know your family best. If they enjoy fine dining, and the cost isn't prohibitive, I would keep it.

The meal was great and the entire family loved it.

Definitely worthy of a special occasion visit.

Went as a group of 4 right after it opened and did not find the food quality to be worth the money and the wine pairing was just so-so. The food was good…. just not up to the price, IMO.

The presentations on many of the dishes was very good and the servers were attentive. They did a nice job with the remodel and it feels more upscale.

I’ll give it another chance this summer because my wife hasn’t had a chance to try it…. but no one in my original group thinks it’s worth the money to go back.
