LL Premier Pass is here!

And I’m just saying that it will probably heavily favor Deluxe guests because otherwise the system creates a perverse incentive for Disney customers to stay elsewhere, more cheaply. Disney doesn’t want you staying offsite and using all those savings on a Premier Pass (unless you absolutely weren’t a Disney customer before, but that’s probably a small % of target buyers of the PP)
I could absolutely see them offering it for free as a special offer down the line when staying deluxe too.

The person on page 5 stated the price for VIP was like $850/hr during Thanksgiving which has to be one of the high end price ranges for this new pass.

In the end I dont think its that far off regardless if you have a sizeable group at all. We will see.
I can tell you the VIP pricing on 10/30 when this rolls out is $600 per hour or $4200 plus the 20% tip for $5,040. With 10 people you're around $504 per person. If you can't get 10 people that price goes up, if you don't want to share a tour with another family, that price goes up. Opening day for this at Magic Kingdom is $329 per person. It's about $180 savings per person at a minimum for opening day of the roll out.

If I understand it correctly, these aren't reservations. You can just walk into the line whenever you want. And that's why they can't sell very many of them.
that is the way I understand it as well. It's perfect for riding attractions in the order you wish to do them in -versus the order of your LL time slots which can have you running from one end of the park to the other. In my mind, I see this as an alternative to the tour guide package - but for those folks who prefer to be on their own. Glad to have it as an option actually.

As for comparing this to the Universal "Express Pass" - I would think that since this is paid, there will be a lot less of these and hopefully that is the case. Maybe it's the times that we have traveled, but the last time we went to Universal and stayed at Portofino - we received the express passes with our room, but they didn't help a whole lot as so many people had them. The wait for Flight of the Hippograph was just under an hour for the "express line". I'd rather pay for something that actually works.

yeah, the only benefit would be if you want to visit more than one park..

Then pay the $27 per person for LLMP and add on the LLSP options, and you'll still have a fantastic day.

I'm not quite understanding the backlash from people on this, but it does seem to be overwhelming so maybe I'm missing it.

They are giving people options. Pay a whole lot (VIP Tour), Pay a lot (New Pilot Program) or pay a little bit in comparison to other express pass options out there (LLMP and LLSP).

If they took away Multipass or Single Pass, that would be one thing. However, nothing is changing other than if someone wants to spend more money to make their day easier they can.
If it was $200-300 for Mk that would be reasonable (double the price of a park ticket). But pricing it close to an unlimited VIP tour that allows park hopping is what doesn’t make sense.

I can't imagine needing this very often especially with no ability to re-ride which is where I think it would get its biggest value. We went to WDW in April with 6-7 crowds and the longest we waited for anything was 30 minutes. We rode everything we wanted except Frozen and even re-rode several big-name rides. We did that with only buying the individual lightning lane rides.

You best believe VIP tour prices will go up accordingly, as will regular Multipass. This will have a domino effect in each direction.

I agree that for most people this should be an easy pass. If I were 50 years younger, I wouldn't even look at it.

I do believe that. We were budgeting doing just a few days of our 10 day trip (at the Poly). A better benefit would be giving deluxe guests an hour before park opens and more extended evenings.

This new system won’t make or break any of my trips. I think it’s a great option for those who want it and for those with short trips and have the cash to burn.

We go for 8-9 days and never have an issue doing everything we want to do. We don’t even get LLMP everyday. Back in the day we didn’t even use paper FP because it was such a pain and we still had a great.

Sure we can shorten our trip and use the savings to purchase this 1-2 days but I like the longer trips and taking in the atmosphere. It’s not only about the rides for me.

I contemplated getting it for our DHS day but not at $269+ per person. I would rather get a DAH ticket for our day.

I would be worried if I was a VIP Cast Member right now.
Part of me thinks this is a play for that group of guests. On their last earnings call Disney mentioned they were seeing softening of top and bottom earnings bracket demand. This is a noticeable discount over a VIP Tour and curated to high spenders at WDW by releasing only to Deluxe guests at first.
