LL Premier Pass is here!

Work, being the key word might be why people are paying for this
LLPP is too rich for my blood but it’s about the convenience. Being able to tour however I want and go to the rides in any order and always use the LL would be huge in terms of convenience, fewer steps taken, and overall time. It would make for a more relaxing vacation.

Any insight as to why? Like, are the parks packed this month or is word just getting out that anyone is allowed to buy it now?

It is a little early to know the specifics but it is all related to the park loads as we ramped up from Valentines day to Presidents week. This is a normal guest spike in attendance every February. I still can't figure out why AK as sold out some many days since it really does not need LLPP. Part of the influence of LLPP seems to be driven by the guests that can afford LLPP for their Once in a Lifetime visit or guests that just have a high disposable income.

I think we will get more information as we roll into March with the different spikes in Spring Break weeks, and ramp up to the Easter crunch when the parks will be slammed.

A special shout out to the team at Thrill Data for their updates to the https://www.thrill-data.com/premier-pass/wdw page with new data and format updates to the individual park tables. They show each date a park sells out, and provides a summary of how quickly that date sells out. It is much easier than looking down at the rolling history.

You almost have to wonder if the folks buying this don't really understand the system, and just want the most "premium" product. I feel likes it's just throwing money away at AK and even Epcot.

They don't want to play the system to begin with. Arguably different parks have different levels of benefits to it but that was the way with Legacy FP, FP+, Genie+ and LL where certain parks you didn't have much of an advantage out of doing whatever corresponded with each product.

Yes, but those were at least relatively modestly-priced products.

I am sure there is some of that but also a large subset just want to enjoy the park without their head buried in a Smartphone all day. I am with you on AK and Epcot but that's also why the pricing is lowest for AK followed by Epcot.

Respectfully that has nothing to do with the point you made and the one I reinforced. Some parks are more advantageous than others which has been the case with each product Disney has put forth. And Disney often but not always utilized a pricing structure that reflected this, though I stress not always, presently their LLPP is priced lowest often on Epcot and AK the two parks you mentioned. Modest price or not is irrelevant but also in the eye of the beholder. I don't consider $25 for Rise to be modest but YMMV.

Yes, this is how I feel. I tried LLPP on my solo trip a few weeks ago.

EP and HS I took full advantage and rode everything at a relaxed pace.

MK was not able to ride everything. I was tired, and it was the day (Feb 10th) when the air compressors malfunctioned and rides were closed. Also MVP parade. I still had a great day and rode all of my favorites with no stress. Was in the park from 11:45a - 7p.

The days that I used LLPP I was barely on my phone. It was truly glorious. I’ll be back at the end of March with the kids, and seriously considering purchasing for all but AK. We are not rope droppers.
