LL Premier Pass is here!

We used LLPP yesterday in Hollywood Studios and it was a fantastic day -if exhausting - ha!
We arrived at 10:30 or so (former rope drop family with young adult kids now who have been waking up early for college and we decided we'd give up on rope drop). We did all rides and the Muppet Show between 10:30 and ~4, with the exception of RNRC (down when we planned to ride it) and the addition of a Sci-Fi Dine In lunch and a Baseline Taphouse snack around 3. It was SO luxurious to just tap in when we wanted and not have the downtime wait between rides and wondering what we could and should do. We left for a break at 4 and dinner and then returned for Oga's at 9. We saw RNRC had reopened so we rode that before Oga's. It was a great day, and, for us, preferable to the VIP tour. We did debate making all days LLPP days but couldn't stomach the budget. We have more day with LLPP for MK this week and then regular LLs for the other park days. If you're on the fence and can stomach the price, do it.

Having been back a week now I have to thank @Dave006 and others for advice . This was a very
impromptu trip because we were going to be somewhat in the area for a wedding.

It ended up being much more expensive because of last minute planning. Stayed in DVC villas and bought
MK and EPCOT after hour party tickets LLMP for AK and MK. Did Extended Hours for MK.

Bought LLPP for Hollywood studios. Out of everything although expensive the family thought it was worth
it. Already an exhausting week it was nice to sleep in and then go at your own pace for rides. Don't think
I would do it again though. lol If we ever go again LLMP will have to do.

Just out of curiosity, why would you do it once but never again? That was my prediction about LLPP usage--one and dones.

Chiming in - we did LLPP at HS and MK and it would be hard to travel again without it. It made the days so pleasant - but exhausting. We did everything in HS. For our MK day, we took a more relaxed approach and rode the headliners and then the rides we wanted to ride vs. riding everything. Still felt worth it to us.

My question is why was using LLPP exhausting since you have at least 12 hours of park time to spread out your attraction stops?

Dave
Good question - and I should have explained further because it was how we did it and it wouldn't be exhausting to others. My poorly worded point was that - the way we did it was exhausting but still worth it and we would likely do it the same way again.

More detail - we have kids in college for whom waking before noon is apparently torture. We used to be rope drop people, so this is a big change for us. We also wanted to be sure this felt like an actual vacation for them, so we optimized for their sleep and not for my penchant for rope drop. My husband and I had truly lovely mornings drinking coffee and watching the world go by (and also going to bed at a reasonable time while the kids kept exploring). All that being said- the actual park time each day where all 4 of us were in the park was down to about 6 hours, which also made the LLPP that much more valuable to us.

For example, the kids did wake up (without complaint) and we got to HS around 10:45 or so, we strolled in, walked on to Runaway Railway, and then went to lunch at Sci-Fi. After lunch, Star Tours, then Slinky Dog, then TSMM, and Alien Swirling Saucers, followed by Rise and Smuggler's Run. All of this before 2:30 (including the sit-down lunch). We had a nice break at Muppet's and then a snack at Baseline Taphouse, then off to Tower of Terror. RNRC was down, so we left the park for pool and drinks and dinner, returning for Oga's at 9 (and RNRC was open then, so we were able to ride).

So the exhausting part was our fault, entirely, but it was also so much fun, and unbelievable to do so much in a short timeframe.

I’m late to the conversation but I will say I think this is something will keep around. It’s bringing in money. We did end up buying it for MK when we went in December and unfortunately with the amount of people that are going to the parks now it makes it worth it and Disney knows it.
