LL & ILL and ride closure question

If you have already scanned into a ride using LL and the ride goes down must you wait out the closure or lose the LL or will it convert to a MEP? How about with a ILL? In 2019 when using MaxPass for RSR the ride went down just as we were ready to load. After waiting half an hour we asked if we could use our MaxPass later in the day as we needed to get to a dining reservation. We were told there was nothing we could do and they could not tell us how much longer it might be. Could we run into the same situation with LL and ILL?

If you've already scanned in and the ride goes down (as in not loading at all, and they're going to move people out of the line), a cast member will scan your ticket in the app (or paper ticket) and you'll get a MEP to use anytime that day.

The only time since Genie+ that I have seen a breakdown where we weren't moved was RSR, but it was no more than 10 minutes, so we just waited. Although, I'm sure if you encounter a longer wait that will keep you from a dining reservation, just ask the Cast Member to scan and get you a MEP. I can't imagine they won't comply since it's a paid service and you can't repeat LLs like you could with FastPasses. (If for some reason they don't, go to City Hall.)

We had an LL for something that went down before our window, and we immediately got an MEP. ROTR was down during our window, and it converted to an anytime ILL for ROTR. We were evacuated when we it finally came up and we tried to ride. We did sit inside for a bit, less than 10 minutes, but maybe more than 5. However, I think that's because it's a real bear to get all of those people out of it, since there are so many rooms/areas. They did scan our bands and give us MEPs. I think if it's a ride that goes down frequently, they have a good system in place and have plenty of practice. However, RSR has been going down a ton lately, so maybe they would respond better now. We also got evacuated from Web Slingers. We were in a ride vehicle that had closed the door and moved a bit from the loading spot. We had an ILL for it. That one took a bit longer, but not 30 minutes. Definitely less than 15, maybe closer to 10. Got an MEP for it too. Lots of rides breaking down at DLR this summer.
