LL Bean

The backpacks are amazing!!! Stopped buying the kids a cheap new one every year. Invested in one of the larger ones and they use it year in and year out. Holds all those heavy middle school/high school books and still looks brand new.

I like their coats and jackets. They're classic and don't go out of style. I always get compliments when I wear it.

backpacks, coats, boat and tote bags.... I love LLBean.. Love Freeport: )

I also love LLBean. My favorite things are their coats/jackets and sweaters. I also seem to buy a lot of shoes from them. I watch their twice daily markdown every day.

Backpack, luggage, toiletries bag. Lined jeans, robes, wool socks. Outerwear.

Their pima cotton t-shirts are fantastic. Backpacks, lunch bags, stainless steel food thermos, and Wicked Good slippers.

We bought our daughters back packs 8 years ago. They still use them now in college. My husband's like the men's shirts in Tall. This winter I bought a warm coat that goes down to my knees. Perfect timing because we got hit with all the snow. I also got a very warm pair of slipper mocassins.

My son is in his 3rd year of college and has had an LLBean backpack since since freshman year of high school. It still looks new. When he went to college and had to carry his laptop, I bought a messenger bag locally and after a month it was falling apart. So I got him an LLBean bag and he uses it daily and it still looks great!!!

My other favorites are their many levels of thickness polar fleece. I've been buying the athletic fleece 1/4 zip but this year bought a full zip heavier fleece and even with the cold of Massachusetts snowy winter, I was able to wear it as a top layer and still be very warm. It's actually too warm in the house.

I have other things I've bought and had for a long time. Want to replace some summer t-shirts and give LLBean a try. I'm sick of clothes shrinking because I buy less expensive to save money.

I forgot about the tall shirts! LL Bean is one of the very few places we found with Medium-Tall shirts for DH.

Oh only downfall of online shopping with them, is if you buy something and you don't like the style/fit, you have to pay return shipping.
I can't remember if a size change is free shipping.

:)We live in Freeport...the outlet store has a lot of awesome discounts. Their return policy is fantastic. They have lots of wonderful events (free summer concert series, Northern Lights display in Winter, etc.)...Back to original question...the quality of their products makes most any purchase worthwhile. Freeport is a great place to visit.

If you have the LL Bean Visa there is not a return shipping cost. And if there is a serious defect, they'll make good with the purchase too - all you need to do is call and talk to them :)

My husband works at the Flagship store in Freeport and I just LOVE their products. Some of my favorites are: Boat & Tote (bags) - I must have 10! I love their luggage. Their swimsuits are some of the best on the market, especially if you happen to be above average size. Their sweaters and jackets are great. I do not like their t-shirts - they are lovely color and soft, but they shrink the 'long' way, making them too short. The flannel pj's shrink the same way (just don't dry either but I forget). Their bikes are amazing. Love their shoes. And I also like almost everything in their "home" department - their sheets are some of the best quality I've ever used. Their furniture is really expensive, but really worth it.

Edited because I forgot to talk about their camping gear! The all-time best tents on the market - you will stay warm and dry even in downpours. The sleeping bags are great. There are so many fun, unique camping and hiking goodies!!

Yes I know but I don't have a LLBean Visa. I don't shop there enough to hold another Visa card. My Disney Visa Rewards is more important than the occasion free return shipping.

Thank for the t-shirt heads up. I thought I saw some "shrink resistant" but maybe it was just "wrinkle resistant".
And the shrinking and making them too short is the exact issue I have with most tshirts. I have a hard enough time getting them long enough because (some call it blessed) I struggle with some extra bulk in my chest area. I try to avoid the dryer and hang my tops, but unfortunately there are times that the laundry switch gets done by someone else and they forget.
Thanks.

Backpacks (been in heavy-duty use for 10 years and still going strong)

t-shirts (p.s. the talls aren't that tall; we put LLBean reg. LLBean tall, Lands End reg, Lands End tall all next to each other. There is maybe an inch difference between them all)

canvas tote bags (25 years old and going strong!)

sweaters

down coats

polartec pullovers

p.s. all the shirts and pants have always been too short for me, and I'm only 5'6"
