Thanks for the reports. I'm having a good laugh as I read.

Keep posting. I'm especially waiting for sunrise safari and pirate cruise details:D

Also, how did the Shirley at the perfectgift work out? I really hope you were pleased. I'd hate that I reccomended something that didn't work for you.

Eagerly awaiting your next installment.

Laura

Laura,

I was actually quite disappointed with their basket. Nothing was official Disney World stuff. The autograph books weren't the blue hardcover ones, they were these soft spiral ones with disney cartoons on them. The pens weren't the Fat blue pens, they were winnie the pooh pens. 2 of them were small 2 piece pens.

There was a sign spinner thing that said Disney LAND on it. Mickey fruit snacks and juice that I actually brought with me because my kids eat them every day.

When I said Mickey snacks, I expected the WDW snacks that come in the blue bags. I went out and bought Mickey pretzels and cheese snacks for them.

There was a metal tin from the 100th celebration I think. Trading cards all with pictures from the 1980's.

All in All, I spent $150 for junk stuff, that I wound up stuffing in the suitcase, and went out and bought them the autograph books, pens and snacks myself.

I was truly disappointed.

Now that's a shame that your kids don't want to go with her again! I'm sooo glad your husband spoke up- but it seems she's just got one of those charming personalities that's not easily swayed. But you can imagine how miserable it must be to live like that and she's very very lucky to have a tolerable DIL like you! Maybe you could write some scripst for a couple of sitcoms with all the material you gained from an , err enjoyable vacation!
Can't wait to read the rest of your trip!!!

I know refer to her as my smother in law. Loved that comment. Hopefully it won't slip out one day.

ooops...sorry you were disappointed.

NOT a criticisim...every child, every situation is different...
Was it justifiable for a 2 year old to have a refillable mug? I know, I am the ultimate in "cheap", ( however, I do not eat corn out of the can in MK) but I was wondering about the selections for refills that a 2 year old would enjoy. Was there juice, milk or filtered water beside the soda? My kids at 2 would not have been happy with alot of soda. Total juice junkies. Just wondering!!!

No offense taken,

At two years old, and with a 4 year old, there would have been major fighting over a mug with mickey's picture on it. So in my eyes it was worth the $10.

Also they had lemonade, fruit punch as well as the soda, so he did make a great deal of use out of the mug.

Lizzie, 25 rolls of film I believe you mentionede. When do we get to see the wonderful shots that go with all the stories. I'll bet MIL is a hottie:rolleyes:

So bear with me. I'm so aggravated. Why am I not getting e-mailed when there are posts?????

I think that Madonna on the other thread might have a point about the Clay fans. I hope that I didn't make you want to throw up with respect to your dear, wonderful, adoring pain in the .... I mean MIL:rolleyes:

Lizzie - I have not been getting email notifications for about 10 days now :(

The Tech support boards can't help (I tried) :( :(

To make it better for you - this is what I have found works best..

Click on User CP (above on left)

Move to the bottom of the page where you see

"Show threads from" : last day

Change last day to - Last 2 days or Last 5 days - whatever you want.

When the new page comes up - bookmark this link..

This link will show you all the threads that you are active on - and it lists them from the most recent one replied to... you just have to look down the right side to see todays changes...

This is the best I can do - while the emails aren't working

Good luck!

Thanks,

It is so frustrating. I don't want to miss anyone's questions if they have any.

Did you speak to someone on tech support. I left a message but haven't heard an answer back.

I wonder if it's something they're aware of and are working on,

Hi..

I posted on the tech support board and the moderator and other complainee's have been posting occasionally. As far as I know no one is doing anything and they are just hoping it will go away.

But you know - now that I am used to this new way of seeing the threads - I sort of like it better. I just keep one browser open with that page on it - then occasionally refresh it. Then you can right click on any thread and ask for it to open in a new window.

It better then the emails I used to get individually - even if the emails come back I thing I will stick with my "new and improved" system,,, necessity is the mother of invention you know..
