Living on the Edge Disney Dining Adventures May 2015 WPE and Final Thoughts 7/26

Joining in and loving your reviews so far! Your son is so adorable, especially with the Yoda hat.

Thoughts so far:
We also love WPE. DH's fav is the bacon wrapped meatloaf, I am dying to go back.
BW Bakery looks delicious as always. We are staying at BWI this fall and it is going to be dangerous being right there.
The Star Wars breakfast looks like a great experience.

I can't wait to go back for that meatloaf myself at WPE :) How nice you have an upcoming trip at the BWI!! It is such a nice relaxing resort.

Update time!! The next morning we headed over to the magic kingdom. My DH wanted a cinnamon roll, so we headed to Gaston's Tavern. It was our first time there and the inside was so cute. He used a snack credit on his cinnamon roll, which was very similar to the old ones at our beloved MS Bakery, so he was happy. I decided to try the Lefous Brew, also used a snack credit on this one. Oh my gosh, I am mad at myself for not trying this sooner. I am sorry but the butterbeer at Harry Potter World is not nearly as good at this drink.

For lunch we had a reservation for BOG. We preordered and everything went very smooth. Super nice CMs and we were able to get a table in the main dining room. I wanted the West Wing, and so did everyone else, so next time maybe!! We had a server that came by to get our meal ticket and within a few minutes our entrees were wheeled out on these amazing carts. I ordered the pork shank with mashed potatoes and veggies. It was amazing and I was so happy I chose it. My DH had the croque monsieur with fries. It was delicious. For dessert we both tried the grey stuff cupcake, and yes it delicious just like the song said. Lunch was a real winner and one of my favorite meals of the trip. I would never ever return for dinner after that amazing lunch. It is one of the best CS credits you can get. It sure does beat Cosmic Rays for sure :rotfl2:

I have yet to try one of those cinnamon rolls...it's on the list for October. I didn't care for the Brew when they first opened...but may give it a second chance.

I'm so glad to read you enjoyed lunch. We are eating there next month for lunch for the first time (we're also doing dinner again).

And Alexander is cuter every time I see him.

we were in Disney the 5th thru the 12th and we had a great time as well...in the last twenty years ..I have never tried wpe...always opt for Earl of Sandwich..maybe next visit ...thanks for your photos
We went to Biergarten too..I wanted the Potato Leek soup but they changed it to the crem of asparagus..maybe I should of tried it...you are right though..the salads were delicious...again thanks

They are worth trying for sure! I hope you enjoy lunch at BOG, it's my new favorite for sure for QS. I swear Alexander's cuteness just gets better and better as his personality is starting to form! I know I am going to have my hands full for sure.

I only eat EOS here in San Antonio, never have a WDW, but locally it's one if my favs. If you get back over to Biergarten and they have this soup it is not to be missed. Thank you for reading my reviews!!

That cinnamon roll looks amazing! We have only been to WDW once since Gaston's Tavern opened and we didn't make it over to try one.

Love his face tasting! Not sure he's a fan. Oh well. Can't wait to see him so much bigger when we get back. So sweet and good. You are lucky!

He overall is a good baby, and I am so happy about that!! Except yesterday at Pericos he was horrible :rotfl2: Let me know when you guys get back so we can to lunch. Have a wonderful trip :thumbsup2

Your BOG meal looked great. I've got a lunch and dinner reservation in August...can't wait!

So after we were settled in our room we decided to hop on the DTD bus and go to an old favorite Wolfgang Puck Express in the market place. If you are on the DDP it is probably the best use of a credit you can find, as you get your food on nice plates, have a server, and it's $$$$. Last time we went I had the meatloaf which is wrapped in bacon and has a bbq sauce on top on some of the best mashed potatoes I have ever had. All fat free right, hahaha, I think not, but oh so very good. My DH had the spagetti bolognese that has broccolini in it and is topped with a light ricotta cheese. Very nice portion and a different twist on just plain old spaghetti with meat sauce. For dessert I had the creme brulee which was perfection!! My DH had the cheescake that was delicious as well. Overall this was the perfect start to our vacation and we even had the same table we always sit at. They shoud put or name on it :rotfl2:

That meatloaf looks amazing!

I've gotta get to Gaston's! We will arrive in WDW tomorrow morning and we're having lunch at BOG for the first time.. My fiance went with the croque monsieur and I went with the roast beef sandwich. Your entrees look delicious!

LOL I just about died when I saw Earl of Sandwich open up over at the Stone Oak area. I ate there a bunch. It was never busy there...which I always thought was weird considering how CRAZY the one in DTD was.

I miss SA....back in the NE now

How fun! I hope you guys love it as much as we do.

Small world! I go to the one in Stone Oak and De Zavala, and it is never really busy. We just have so many places to eat here and most people aren't even aware of it here and how good it is.

I am late to the party but that WPE Meatloaf is usually my first meal on arrival day and if my plane leaves late enough its also my last meal before I head to the airport.

Just officially booked our food and wine trip this evening!!! Sept 27-Oct3rd at the Beach Club. Cannot wait to return after a year hiatus from F&W.
Yeah!!! So excited for you all. We're gonna miss F&W this year, so sad ; (

We love Gaston's too. We try and do a cinnamon roll and lefous for breakfast at least once a trip. Both are oh so good

Yum, I tried this a few years ago but it wasn't great. Sounds like I need to give it another whirl.

I would never ever return for dinner after that amazing lunch. It is one of the best CS credits you can get.
I'm with you. Lunch is where it is at!
