Living on the Edge Disney Dining Adventures May 2015 WPE and Final Thoughts 7/26

That Yoda Hat is adorable!

I like how they changed the pastries up from last year and added the light saber!

Non-cold milk does not sound appealing at all.

Joining in! We have always wanted to try WPE. It looks delicious. Loved seeing the Star Wars breakfast. What a sweet little Yoda!

Hi! Your little Alexander is adorable! Enjoying your report. Your WPE meals look & sound delicious. Now I'm considering trying to fit it into our schedule in November, lol! That's the downside of me reading dining reports. They always make me want to change my reservations! I don't think I've ever watched a Star Wars movie, except for blurbs of the first one many moons ago, when my boys were little. Crazy, I know, lol, but Star Wars weekends sure looks fun for it's fans. :)

Thank you so much, glad you are enjoying it :) WPE is such a great place, if you can squeeze it in, you won't be disappointed. Star Wars is apart of our family it seems like, we just love it!!

The light saber was my favorite pastry, we took most of them back the room and munched on them for days.

Glad to have you!!!

Since we had such a huge breakfast a the Sci Fi dinner we did not have lunch that day. However I did try the pink slushie in France at the F&G booth. It was so very good, even better than the regular one. We made a early dinner reservation for Biergarten which is a favorite of ours that has been a few years since we had eaten there. This of course was the first time with a baby. We were seated with another family that wasn't really into the whole theme with the shared tables and entertainment, however we were all about the band and of course huge beers!! Peter and I both had a liter of beer to go with our delicious food. Let me tell you though I will never ever order a liter of the grapefruit beer, it was way to much of a good thing and by the end of the meal I wanted to die lol!! Next time I will stick the the light pilsner. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed it but not in that much quantity. I was pleased the schnitzel was pork!! Th last time it was chicken and it was super dry. The star of the show for me was the cream of asparagus soup, it was so good with the pretzel bread. I also enjoy their salad selections there as well. We were able to see the band twice while we were there, as in true European fashion, we took our time dining. If you have ever been to Germany dinner takes several hours when you go out as it's an event not just a meal. Alexander and I went out and danced to the German Polka music and had a blast. He loves German music and was clapping his hands and having the time of his life. If you are looking for a fun meal that is not the same old thing with great entertainment give this place a try!!

The pink slush is so good!

I'm glad you had a great time at Biergarten - totally get having too much of a good thing with the liter of beer. (I've burnt myself out of UFO Big Squeeze by getting a 26 oz instead 16oz)

Biergarten looks and sounds great, can't believe I've never been given the mass quantities of beer and all ; ) though I can only fathom what a liter of the grapefruit beer must be like. At least you were able to dance it off ; )

Joining in! I'm loving the reviews so far. You have a beautiful family!

I'm thinking about Biergarten but my husband isn't convinced since we don't drink beer. :/ I'm sure it would still be a fun environment.

Joining in as well, I love your dining reports and your DS is a beautiful little boy!

You've already dined at two of our favourites, WPE and Biergarten. DH absolutely LOVES Biergarten. I think the huge beers might have a little something to do with it, LOL! I'm not usually a beer fan but I do enjoy the grapefruit one. The regular size (pint?) is all I can manage however.

The SW breakfast at Sci-Fi looked wonderful, how great that you could score a last minute ADR! :thumbsup2 I'm not really up on all the SW lore, what exactly is blue milk? Just plain milk with blue colouring or is it flavoured with something?

Looking forward to more!

Jumping on board for your DR! Your son is such a cutie.

The light saber pastry is so cool. So happy you enjoyed it!

I have to try the grapefruit beer next time I'm in WDW. It gets rave reviews on here! Excited for more.

Oh I am so with you my friend on that pink slush...the best ever!

I wish I could know ahead of time if they were having the pork schnitzel over the chicken, because I'd go back to Biergarten in a heartbeat if I knew they had it.

I will give Mark a heads up on not getting that large of a Grapefruit beer at once.

It's the best drink, especially when it's hot as you know what outside! As far as the grapefruit beer, I don't want one for a very long time haha!!

I am all for beer in mass quantity haha, just no grapefruit involved!! I wish I had taken more pics of the food, next time I will do better!

Thank you so much!! You don't need to drink beer to enjoy the place, the food is amazing.

Thanks for joining me and my dining adventures!! Also thank you for the sweet compliments on Alexander, we are so lucky to have him apart of our lives now :) Onto the grapefruit beer the pint is the way to go for sure!! The blue milk is something Luke drank in the first Star Wars movie. It is basically a blue raspberry flavored milk.

Thanks for joining in :). Yes you must try it out, very refreshing.

I think we need the recipe for that drink to make at home!! May need to search the Internet for it :) Onto the pork vs chicken who knows the method to their madness. Maybe they put out what they have available. Chicken schnitzel is disgusting for sure! About that beer I recommend Mark getting pint!! They had it on draft outside at the flower and garden kiosk. Hopefully food and wine has it too! As in the regular booth in Germany they pour it out of a bottle, at least in Dec they did.

Descriptions and updates are below the photos, still getting the hang of not using photobucket and uploading direct through the boards.

That evening we debated on going to a TS or getting a pizza at the BW. We had a few adult drinks while hanging out at the Luna Pool and were not too hungry. So we decided to snack at the BW Bakery. I had the Olaf cupcake and a cup of tomato soup that came with a yummy piece of bread. Both were excellent. My DH had the Mickey cupcake that was nice as well. Alexander enjoyed all three items. This was a great use of our snack credits as we really didn't need anymore to eat that night. We also had a very exciting dismeet with Katmark, who we have known for years on the boards but have never met. It was such a joy to meet Kathy and hope to see her again in the future.

Those cupcakes look GREAT! I love me a Disney cupcake!

Just officially booked our food and wine trip this evening!!! Sept 27-Oct3rd at the Beach Club. Cannot wait to return after a year hiatus from F&W.

Joining in and loving your reviews so far! Your son is so adorable, especially with the Yoda hat.

Thoughts so far:
We also love WPE. DH's fav is the bacon wrapped meatloaf, I am dying to go back.
BW Bakery looks delicious as always. We are staying at BWI this fall and it is going to be dangerous being right there.
The Star Wars breakfast looks like a great experience.
