Living near an amusement park

I was actually in the "Little Miss America" contest when I was little! It was a great memory. Even though I was a runner up and not a winner, it was such a fun day, and looking at that website brought all those great memories back of standing on that stage and "taking a bow".

How cool! I remember those pageants very well. We went to a couple of the pageants and a bunch of shows at the park. Good memories.

My mom and dad actually met at the Palisades Amusement Park swimming pool in the late 1940's so I can truly say that if it wasn't for Palisades Park, I wouldn't be here!

I only lived 15 minutes from Lake Winnie and go every summer for 2 for 19.00 total on fridays. I go several times durning the summer. I used to work at Lake Winnie in my teen years.

I live about 30 minutes from Cedar Point... yet, the last time I was there was in 1997 when I was still in college and living about 3 hours a day ... on the other hand, I live a 2 day drive from Disney World and have been there about 7 times in the last 3 years
