Livin on a Fantasy!! September 29, 2012 Disney Fantasy

Haven't posted in quite awhile and haven't been getting notifications in my email about new posts. Now I need to go back and see what I've missed. I did see that there will be another almost 3 little guy cruising with us. My little grandson will be almost 3 too; he turns 3 on Oct 28th. I'm still planning on doing the FE.

Michelle, hope you're having a wonderful cruise!

Has anyone else been having trouble with the Disney Cruise website? I am trying to log in and just look around and check our reservation and every single time, it gives me a very strange error message? Just wondering if their site is having trouble or if I need to contact them.

I just logged in and checked my reservation without any hitches.

I thought maybe the were joining the SOPA protests :lmao:

Lol! I still can't get it to work and I even called and a CM walked me through it and it still gave me the same error. She said they are having website problems but that my reservation is fine. :confused3

Hi disneymagicgirl:

It looks like we both have boys the same age and both live in TN! I am glad to see a little boy Ari's age going on the cruise. Maybe we can plan a meetup on board when the cruise gets closer. We will also be staying on the same deck :)

Hi! It would be great if we could me up inboard for playtime at the pool or something :goodvibes

We'd like to participate in the FEs if we could. We are rooms 8000 and 8002 ( I think). Our kids will be 13, 4 1/2, and almost 3.

What excursions are folks planning on doing. I was looking at boatswain's beach, but on our own, not thru DCL. Would love to let ds4 do the pirate thing too...can't remember which port. I would like to do the canopy tour zip line but it is 80 mins from the port and I can't leave my kids that far away. :headache:

We would like to do MNSSHP in conjumctin with this trip, but if I recall they are on Fridays, which means dd13 wold have to miss school that day as well, or at least part of it. I wish they had them on Saturdays so we could do it the day we get off the ship.

The only one I'm sure of is Paradise Beach on our own at Cozumel. We've been to Grand Cayman once and did a Captain Marvin tour to stingray City. Not sure what we'll do this time. Costa Maya is a totally new port to us, so I have to do my research.

I have been looking at excursions too....liked the zipline, but don't like having to spend so much time travelling to/from.
We want to do a snorkel trip, but not sure which one.

Costa Maya is a bit "scary" as there are no reviews/write ups or anything...

BTW...We will be in WDW for 4 nights before the cruise, will anyone else be there before? We're planning on MNSSHP the night before the cruise on Friday.

I had asked if anyone was going to link dining, but I don't know if anyone ever responded...

Check out Cruise Critic for ideas on Costa Maya. I'm thinking of visiting ruins. From what I've read some of the ruins are close to two hours away, so you have to be careful which ones you go to.

We're still thinking about staying at WDW pre-cruise. We're going to fly down Thursday and I think it all depends on whether or not we fly early or late. Doubt we'll do MNSHHP. We've done it twice and I can only eat so much candy :rotfl:

I like the idea of linking dining, since there will only be the two of us and I'd rather sit with someone I think I'll get along with (thanks to meet threads), than taking a chance with total strangers, although to be honest, we've never had anything but great tablemates. It may be my charming personality or we've just been lucky :rotfl2: I still remember our DVC member cruise in 2006, we had 91 people linked together and took over one side of the dining room.

What part to New York are you from, Lorelei? We live up in Rockland County.

I'd like to do ruins somewhere so will check Cruise Critic! Thanks for that-
We've also done MNSSHP twice, but we LOVE the parade and the fireworks plus I figure we'll already have our pirate costumes from the cruise and I have no plans to attend the party in 2013 and don't know when we'll be back for it, so figured what the heck! :P

Michelle-will you be linking dining at all? If not, I could do it for those who are interested...let me know. We did it with our last DISmeet group and it was GREAT.

ok....ready? I am FROM Rockland!!! Born and bred and all my family is still there, I'm just over in Yonkers/Bronx. Only 30 mins away! I grew up in West Nyack. My mother and brother and sister in law are still there, one of my nephews and his wife are in West Nyack, my other brother and sister in law are in Pomona and one of my nieces and her husband are in Nanuet! I am over there at least every other Saturday. My manicurist and most of my doctors are there...
Where are you in Rockland? This is sooo neat!! It really IS a Small World after all!!!!

:goodvibes

I am finally home from a great cruise. I will say that I won't look for KSF cruises again....brings out the wrong clientel....I will leave it at that.

I will get on here soon to add everyone to the web page...still trying to adjust back to Ohio time. Plus I started with a fever weds of the cruise. turns out I have a double ear infection and still running a fever after a week. Stinks!!

Someone else can handle the linking of ressie's for dining, Please. We won't be linking as we are requesting a previous server as ours for this cruise so not gonna link to anyone but my parents to assure I get our server!!!

Well off to watch Toriand Dean. I love that show, have loved Tori since my HS days of watching 90210.

Ta ta for now

We are hoping to do MNSSHP Friday as well...but that does mean DS8 will have to miss another day of school and I guess we will have to see what time our flight gets in. We had also hoped we could do it the Saturday we get back, but you are right, from what I have seen they don't have one on Saturdays. We are not doing WDW this year at all (well, except for the trip DH and I just got back from to run the Marathon Relay and DS8 is going on a Spring Break trip with my mom) so I really want to at least to the party. As far as excursions, we are thinking of ruins in Costa Maya, a beach in Grand Cayman, and not sure about Cozumel. DS8 really wants to do the Cozumel Amazing Race, but not sure how that will work out with DD3. Has anyone done that one before? Oh, and it is our first cruise....what is linked dining?
