What is your best guest of how many total days needed to leisurely visit every single WDW Resort lobby?

And what would be the best parking strategy to achieve this when not staying at a WDW Resort?

Could you park at Disney Springs for free each day and achieve this with only internal WDW transport?

Thank you!! :)

What do you mean leisurely? Like are you gonna sit down, have a drink, explore the resort or do you mean like a leisurely 10-15 mins to check stuff out? There can’t be but a handful of lobbies that warrant more than 10-15 mins (AKL would be one).

Does your group consist of Disney fans or folks looking for challenge? It would be a kick to see the fancy ones but very few people in my orbit would enjoy a ton of Disney buses in order to see hotel lobbies, especially the Values and Mods (CSR is the exception). That’s not to throw shade on the values and mods, I like them too but… vacation time is fleeting.

That depends on what you mean by “leisurely”! I would estimate 2-3 days depending on how long you spend at each, how early in the day you start and how late you stay, not to mention travel time between resorts.

Parking at DS would be the best plan. You could take a bus to any of the MK area resorts, for instance, and visit Poly, GF, CR, WL, and FW using the monorail and boats. Another day bus to any Epcot resort and visit BW, Yacht & Beach, Swan & Dolphin, RIV, CBR, AoA, and Pop using Friendship boats and Skyliner. Third day would be the hardest - you could bus to CR, for instance, then use AK park as transfer point to visit the 3 AS and AKL (Jambo and Kidani have a shuttle between them). Same for visiting the DS area resorts - you could boat to SSR, OKW, and the PO resorts, but you’d have to return to DS between them.

👍🏻 Even some deluxe lobbies are only worth the effort at certain times of the year, like Christmas or when the Easter eggs are on display. I love YC & stay there most trips. The lobby is pretty, has a large globe & model ship. You could look at them in like 5 minutes. Beach Club has flowers & some different chairs. Hardly worth a special trip.

During our December trip we visited the resorts for our Christmas Tree crawl, took us most of day. We did not do all of them but did quite a few. RR, CBR, BW, BC/YC, Contemporary, Poly, GF, WL, AKL. Had some drinks and snacks at different places, enjoyed shopping, it was fun.

You will spend most time on transportation but it’s a fun adventure. We’ve slowly ticked off all Fisney resorts over the past few years but also don’t visit all ‘versions’ of each resort E.g, visited AKL last month but only went to Jambo House. We took time to walk around resorts, sometimes enjoy a quick service meal or snack plus visit their stores. We found visiting 3 per day to be a nice pace for us with a slower start to these days and often ending at Disney Sotings for dinner.

Yes, you would need to either park at Disney Springs or, pay to park at a park. We used a variety of transportation options and would look at the Disney app to see what park was close to the resort we were visiting and then take transportation there and then move to another resort from there.

It was a wonderful way to spend time together and explore Disney at the same time!!

I’d say you need 4 days.

If you have a car, you can probably knock off the AllStars, Animal Kingdom, CSR, POR, POFQ, Saratoga Springs, and Old Key West in one day. I’m not sure how strict they’d be with parking if you’re staying off property, but you should be okay driving to the AllStars, POR/POFQ for sure.

Then I would do one day at Epcot resorts, one day at MK resorts and one day at Skyliner resorts. And yes, I’d probably bus from DS on these days.

The skyliner ones are also pretty nice to visit

It depends what ya plan on doing and ages of your group. I know for us the playgrounds at the different resorts can eat up a lot of time along with just relaxing and eating at them. Plus like walking from poly to grand can take us numerous hours. Many resorts also have the community halls. They also have different food options. Resorts are best part of Disney tbh, much more magical there

@musikdude2022 there are many lobbies to just skip. But if you mean a look around each resort that would include more resorts in the collection. As @focusondisney indicated unless you are visiting on a holiday period there is not much in any lobby.

I would skip many lobbies: BWI, YC, BC, CR, CBR, PoR, PoFQ, All Star Sports, Music, Movies, CRS, SSR, OKW for example.

Lobbies / Resorts not to miss: WL, GF (whenever it is done being refurbished), AKL, and CR A-Frame tower to see the Monorails drive through the building.

Time out. Did you just say to skip the boardwalk resort? That place is iconic and a great place to spend some time, especially if they have the performers at night. Riveria also shouldn’t be skipped as it’s a whole different vibe and CBR is right next to it so can knock both of them out. Fort wilderness is also a good place to visit.

I would say depending on the ages art and pop can also be worth a visit in good weather

Did you miss the key word "lobbies" in my post? How much time do you spend in the BW lobby to see the small displays and the furniture, I will wait while you think about it?

Dave
but then in the next paragraph you used the term “lobbies / resorts not to miss” which I think boardwalk solidly falls into that category as a must see resort just because of how unique it is.

But to answer your specific question approximately 12 minutes and 27 seconds. But at the boardwalk complex, hours easily.
