Livin on a Fantasy!! September 29, 2012 Disney Fantasy

Cabanas on the Dream is like that at breakfast and lunch. But for dinner it turns into a sitdown restaurant. I assume it will be the same for the Fantasy.

I'm jealous! I wish I was going to WDW too. I'm still trying to figure out how I am going to add a few days there along with the cruise next year. Have a great time!

Thanks for telling me all this. It will at least give us options if for some reason we don't make it to the dining room. Can't imagine we won't but I love having options!!

Next year we will fly in a couple days before the cruise. Enough to stay 2 nts and hit MNSSHP as it is our tradition to do so before every Disney cruise. I am excited about our WDW vacation...more so bcause we are spending it with 16 other special people in our lives. But I NEED A CRUISE!!!

We are leaning towards going to WDW after the cruise next year. The Food and Wine Festival should have started by then. As a matter of fact, I bet it starts the day we sail. Now I just need to figure out how to tell everyone that they are welcome to join us, but must pay for their own room. We’ve used our DVC points for every family vacation to WDW so far. So this will be a new experience for us, asking others to pay for their own room.

Wish me luck! I am going to try to convince DH to stay at BCV for 4 nights after the cruise. I really want to go to the Food and Wine Festival. Anyone esle doing WDW before or after the cruise? If so, before or after?

I think we'll be staying before, but I hadn't considered the food and wine dates! I'll have to look them up!

Last year we went after the cruise, when we were all relaxed and then went run run running around the parks for a few days and left Florida exchausted and ready for another vacation! Hopefully doing it in the reverse will be more vacation-y!

Food and Wine normally begins the last Saturday in September. They haven't announced the dates yet. But I am betting it begins the 29th, the day we sail. This year it begins September 30th.

Sorry, meant to say the last Friday not Saturday in September. So if you are staying at WDW before the cruise. You may get one day in at the Food and Wine Festival before the cruise.

Hi all....Feel like this work thing is getting in the way of DIS'ing...LOL What a busy week!! Just got told we needed to replace our OLD OLD furnace. So waiting on the estimate! I have some money saved, hoping it won't be over that amount. I don't wanna switch our balcony room to a oceanview but I will if I am gonna have to dip into my vacation money for the furnace.

Other then that just packing for WDW vacation!!!!! Pretty easy to do since I buy mostly new clothes. The only thing I am waiting on is our jean shorts. I will pack 2 each of jean shorts a week before we go. We are doing F&W on it's first day this yr so I don't I will do it next yr unless it's so unbelievable. We will definately do MNSSHP because I can't go down for a cruise and not walk in the Magic Kingdom! 49 more days and I will be in one of my Happy PLaces. My favorite Happy Place is DCL!!!

The only good thing about the cruise being so far away is I can keep working on losing some weight - I've lost about 16lbs since coming home from DL in May. In another year I hope I can get rid of another 40.

Right there with you! I've lost about 20 pounds over the last year. I am hoping to do the same over the next year. I was hoping to have more lost by now. My DD is getting married in 3 weeks. I might get another 4 or 5 pounds off by then. But I really can't lose more than that. My dress fits pretty good. Anyone else trying to lose weight before the cruise?

We are a bit; I only have 10 or so pounds I can lose but I'm trying to trim and strengthen up so shorts can look normal on me, lol. My fiance Kyle is trying to lose at least 30 lbs too! Currently we are running together 3x a week training for the tinkerbell marathon in January and he is riding his bike to work everyday that the weather allows him to. Its only 3miles each way but every bit helps! <3

Hi everyone! We just got off a 5 day Bahamian cruise on the Dream, and while onboard booked this as our second cruise!

It will be me a 20-something training coordinator, and DH, a 30-something engineer. This will be our second cruise. We are DVC members, and live and work in Indiana. Nice to meet your!

I have that myself and Jaimie are in on the FE....if I missed some conversation on that let me know. I usually try and read when I get off work everymorning about 1am but sometimes I am not sure how much I am comprehending...

It was wonderful!! A little bit of bad weather on the next to last day, but everything else was great!
