Live without Regrets!!

I can't imagine losing a child. How awful. My heart goes out to them.

I lost a friend right after I got engaged - it will be the 9 year anniversary in a few days. I didn't want to plan my wedding, this was my good friend's husband, but it was his widow and his family who told me that I had to celebrate the good things. All through the wake and funeral they would ask me about my plans, remind me that he wanted us to get married, that he was so happy for us. His wife, my friend, wanted me to remember that he loved us and was happy for us.

What I learned from that was you should never be afraid to hug or kiss the people you love or tell them you love them. You can't say it too many times. I say it to my kid all the time and try to tell my parents and friends, even the ones who "don't hug", that I love them.

I would have done the same thing - it's only money. The memories are worth a little scrimping later.

It was a tragic accident. He got in the road and a car hit him and he died almost instantly- his mom was running after him when it happened.
Zac is now an angel- and I think of him whenever I see my 2 children. Accidents are so terrible. Zac fought to get here on earth and then taken so suddenly.
I have no regrets with my two. I live life for us. We're not rich but I thank God for the many blessings He has bestowed on me each day!:grouphug:

God bless that poor family who lost their sweet child. I think it's wonderful that you took this moment to see that a vaction of your own can create wonderful memories. Living resposibly is a good thing, but sometimes a reasonable splurge is important. I know this can sound harsh, but I have said, when you are on your deathbed are you going to say I wish I didn't take off that week for vacation. None of us know how long we have, so live the life that brings you joy.

To the OP - my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family that lost their child.

We lost a dear 12 yr old friend last summer, to cancer. Dear Lucy taught my family so much about what is really important. I've been diagnosed (twice) with melanoma, and so I know how precious each day is as well.

Hi everyone OP here. Thank you all for letting me share a sad moment and for sharing yours.

My heart goes out to each of you who've lost someone special.
