So, the time is nearly upon us, which means as I have a few minutes, I'm sitting down to start my live trip report. If you're interested in my PTR, the link is in my signature! :)

We fly tomorrow from Gatwick direct to MCO, before checking in at Saratgoa Springs for a week (18th-26th, including our travelling night!) As mentioned in the title, this is our first trip. It's just me and my lovely husband (sadly the baby birds have to stay at home!) and is only my second long haul trip. :)

Today is a day of final details: finishing our packing, booking the taxi to the train station, doing our online check in and staying calm. I woke up this morning feeling so sick (I get nervous when I'm travelling somewhere new) with nerves and excitement- I actually ended up taking some of my anti-sickness tablets this morning (and I hope they kick in soon!)

When looking at seating options yesterday, we found out there are no pairs of seats together on our flight. Nearly all the seats have been pre-booked before online check in starts later today, which I'm really gutted about. As I said, I'm a bit nervous and not sure how I will cope on my own on the flight. :sad2: (We have now paid for seats together on our flight home... but that's £60 that I was hoping to have to spend on goodies at WDW).

So, I hope to have some nice photos and updates to make during our trip :)

Excited to be following along your live trip report! Hope you have an amazing first trip!

Hope you can get seats together once you arrive at the airport. Have a great trip :cheer2:

We've just done check in online.

When we looked last night, there were only 11 unassigned seats (all singles) on our flight. When we went to check in, they opened up a set of three exit row seats... it cost us £110 to book them (ouch!) but we're together at least (and we have extra leg room- bonus!) and it'll stop me having nightmares about that tonight... :thumbsup2

Yay, it's finally time for you. Can't wait to read all about it. Glad the seats got sorted in the end. :)

Can't believe it's here for you!

I remember is booking at the same time last year.

Hope you have an amazing time :-)

Glad you got together but at a cost :sad2: Looking forward to your live report.

I'm in for a live trippie. Have a wonderful time.

Have a fantastic time, the first time is just the best x

Have a great time Clare! :goodvibes Can't believe it has come round so quick!

Looking forward to your trip report & photos!

:wave2:

Hope you both have an amazing holiday. Looking forward to reading along :thumbsup2.

Glad you got seats sorted - sadly I think the days of not paying to prebook seats, then hoping to be seated together have gone forever :(.

Thank you all for your good wishes! We're just 30 minutes away from leaving home on the start of our journey!

Slept surprisingly well (I normally wake up a lot before a big journey, and very early if it's somewhere I'm excited about going)- woke up at around 6am (an hour earlier than planned, but as I didn't wake up at all during the night, or have nightmares about stuff going wrong, I can live with that!) Got just short of a solid 7 hours sleep, so I'm a happy bunny. I'll probably take a short nap on the plane, to give me enough energy to get through until a reasonable bed time Florida time! :)

Oh, and my other good news: my suitcase weighs in at 14.5kg (limit is 23kg) so I have plenty of space to bring things back! YAY! (DH has 10kg of allowance left too!)

Hope you have a fantastic time & can't wait to hear all about it :thumbsup2

Flight left on time and arrived early! Breezed through immigration. Waiting on the DME bus to head to our resort. So tired now though!!
