Live Trip Report - Oh the heat

My DD went on at 5 1/2 and loved it :thumbsup2 Depends on what they are like with other rides. Our DD is tall and a dare devil - she has always gone anything she is tall enough for - her favourite ride at 3 was ToT :rotfl:. The only thing she has ever refused to get back on was Dinosaur! We will ride R'n'R a good few times in July if we can as she loves it as do we! :thumbsup2

We have fp for dinosaur not sure my 4 yr old dd is gonna like it.
Will try my 6 yr old on the others when we go back to that park next week.
We have a fp for tot too 6 yr old will prob like it but not sure 4 yr old will I guess we will soon find out xx

American convenience at its best. Mmmmm

Grrrr just typed a whole day and lost it.

Magic kingdom long day, had managed to score a dinner at Bog but hadn't realised it was an enh morning so we took it easy and got there around 9.30. Rode jungle cruise it had a 30 min wait listed but it was 13 mins which us good as I am not that fussed but the kid like it. Cooled off in the tiki room, before using our pirates fp, haunted mansion with another wait half the posted. Boys didn't like it too spooky go figure!!!!

A "light" lunch at Columbia Harbour House, I had the lobster roll it was very tasty. Now time for splash, rider swap collected I rode with the kids, Doug and Ariana went to the wee play area. We met them there and Doug and Cullen rode Seth didn't like it. Ariana made a wee friend in the play area it was so cute they were walking around holding hands.

Went over the btm and rider swapped then left the boys to do it while Ariana and I rode small world on our fp. We had pooh next boys finished by then managed to get their 4th fp to ride with us.

My favourite drink time the raspberry lemonade slushie from the Cheshire cafe near the teacups. I popped over and got 5th fp for under the sea and then we went and rode that and headed to our dinner at bog.

Dinner was nice the setting is lovely. Meal ok. Meeting Beast was great, Ariana now loves the characters won over by the best of all things. It wasn't looking hopeful as we walked into the room but fantastic interaction.

6th fp booked for barnstormer after leaving we then met Ariel in her grotto Ariana very happy, boys not bothered. Met Minnie and daisy then went to ride barnstormer which was broken

Side note, we received an email saying cause it was broken we could ride a selection of other rides. Peter Pan being one of them this would have been helpful if we had read the email while in the park and not sitting on the couch at the house. But we know for next time.

Rode dumbo and then luckily just caught the train which saved our feet. Talking Mickey had a shortish line so we jumped in before calling it a night getting home about 9 with two sleeping children.

Am a day behind as today we went to Epcot but too tired to update so will give it a go tomorrow, water park day tomorrow. N

Hey. Are you dying with the heat? I cannot believe how hot it has been today for May!!!!!! Glad you're still having fun :)

We're finding the heat a bit of a struggle at the moment! I wasn't expecting so hot either. DD is getting very grumpy around 3ish with the heat. We're having a pool day today though so that should cheer her up :-)

We were here in 2011 and they were just shy of record temps. It is hot but think we are coping ok. Kids flag and then turn nuts when they cool down in the car.

wow! sounds like FP+ is really working out for you!!

did you get all those extra FPs on your phone or at a kiosk?

Yesterday we did Epcot. I had fp for space ship earth for around 9 but cause we were up later the night before I shifted it to a later slot.

We started the morning off with test track, with fp and rider swap, Ariana and I played in the show room then we swapped over and used the fast pass for Ariana and I so I took one boy, some what diddling the system I suppose also collected another rider swap meaning the boys could ride 3 times although we didn't use them all. We rode the land on fp, changed the spaceship earth for nemo got a nice cream before meeting the characters. Picked up fp for spaceship earth again and went and played in innovations and did the piggy bank game which was fun although we didn't hit our target of college education, think it was because I picked a boring one instead of saving for a room make over or a holiday.

Figment before heading to garden grill for dinner. We originally had chef mickeys booked for a breakfast but it wasn't working with my plans so I changed it so we could still have a character meal. Well have to say I was very disappointed. Food was very nice I enjoyed that except for the dessert which hubby got a big glump of corn flour used for thickening the berries.

Firstly the restaurant wasn't revolving, which they did inform us of when I checked in. Disappointing but I suppose not a lot you can do. Then they sat us right by the check in counter so not only were we not revolving our outlook was a bunch of people all watching us eat while they waited. Really should have said something but I don't like to make a fuss so can't really blame anyone but myself for not requesting a different seat. The character interaction wasn't great there just isn't enough room to move. People are trying to come past, we are trying to take photos waitresses didn't want to wait (understandably) but we have blurred pics of them trying to just duck past.

Left there Ariana and I went and rode nemo (or Liam as she calls him). And said we would meet Doug at the entrance after they had ridden test track. Met up with him to discover he had lost his phone so we headed to guest relations.

Later that evening got a message from someone saying they had the phone and wanted to give it back, we were already sat at home. It had fallen out on test track. We asked them to drop it off at lost and found. Thanked them a lot. It hadn't made it to lost and found when we rang this morning so hopefully it is there tomorrow when we ring.

Water park today, typhoon lagoon think I liked blizzard beach better. But that said was a nice day, all caught a bit of sun. Trip to Walmart for some dinner bits, kids played up so got set to bed early (on time really) with no stories so Doug and I enjoying a boozy slushie. We were going to go to blizzard beach tomorrow but not sure I can do another water park day so soon. Might play mini golf and then some shopping we'll see how the mood takes us.

You have to go to the kiosk, obviously you won't get the big ticket stuff until much later in the evening but we don't mind as we have done those earlier in the day and while the waits aren't huge we still save a bit of time.

Using fp hasn't been hard been pretty straight forward and has suited our family. The only I don't enjoy is having it scheduled so far in advance leaves very little wiggle room on where we want to go each day.

Your trip sounds fab,I'm.so.worried about the weather when we go in 3wks! We normally go October or late September, and the yr we did earlier in September we really felt it.
We're planning on early morning every other day and late nights! So we can pool time from lunch and nap. :-)

We also ate at a none revolving Garden Grill tonight. We were so shattered after 9 hours in the park though I barley noticed! A boozy slushie sounds good. As I'm here alone with DD I'm having an unusually 'dry' Disney. Have only managed a pint of cider so far this trip!!!

that's fantastic that someone found the phone and called!!

i hope you get it back in the end..

the advance planning on FPs is what scares me too..
we're very much into going with the flow...
deciding the day before where we'll go the next day..
definitely won't work with FP+ :)

If you are staying offsite, how far in advance can you book the FP+ or can you only do it on the day when you get to a park. :)

30 days in advance, apart from 7 dwarfs ride and meeting the frozen chicks everything else seems to have availability on the day, just usually later in the evening which is too late for us and the kids as we are usually gone by 3.00

Yes it does help having an extra driver,

Hope you're having a good time. We are taking it easy today, bit of mini golf and shopping with maybe a stop at the Cheesecake Factory. Mmmmm.
