Well tomorrow is departure day, for once I've actually packed early and not left everything til the last minute..... ;) Have just done online check in, got an aisle seat somewhere close ish to the front of economy, and all ready to go now.
I did start a PTR this time (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3171064) but will be doing the live report over here in case anyone has any questions.
This will be a slightly different trip than normal as I'm going solo for the first time ever. I'm staying 8 nights at All Star Movies, and I've got the quick service dining plan. I haven't got any concrete plans (apart from two days) so will be doing what I want and when :) I plan on hitting all the attractions in all the parks, as we only tend to stick to the main rides when we go, so it's been years since I've been on some of the smaller attractions.
The only plans I've got so far are attempting the kitchen sink at beaches and cream with two couples I met on a disney cruise in 2011, and I've got a volunteering shift at Give Kids The World village.
Have got everything packed and ready, and setting off for the airport at about 7am tomorrow morning. Have just been looking on the net for some photopass shares but the only ones I've found are all full :( apart from that I think everything that can be sorted has been sorted, just gonna try and get an early night and not wake up ridiculously early!

If anyone's got any questions while I'm over there, ask away :)

have a fantastic trip! look forward to following your solo adventure :-)

I've got a question -- did you bring any dolls with you ;)??

Soooooo super jealous! But we've not got long! Hope you have a great time!

Nah, not that nuts... Not yet anyway

Have a great trip Karen, looking forward to the reports.

Sounds fantastic ..looking forward to following along.

We are at all star movies in October and very interested about your volunteering at GKTW :)

Looking forward to reading about your trip. I did my first solo trip a few years ago and loved it. Have a safe flight.

Hi from gatwick everyone!
Finally got here, left at five to seven this morning, but took two hours and twenty minutes due to the stupid fog, and the even stupider drivers driving like idiots in the fog! But got here eventually so that's all that matters.
I checked in yesterday online so bag drop was relatively uneventful, quick and painless. Got stuck behind a couple in security who thought they could take a whole bag of toiletries through security so that held me up a bit
Just been for a walk round the departures lounge, bought a couple of bottles of Pepsi for the flight (don't like Having to keep bothering the flight attendants every time I'm thirsty, so I normally take my own). Just had a sausage sandwich in the wether spoons, and the gate number has just come up. Keeping everything crossed that the flight leaves as close to as on time as it can, but not holding my breath as all the other flights seem to be delayed because of the fog.
But as long as I get there today I'll be happy :) and it's Disney so who isn't happy when they're headed there :)

See you all on the other side :)

Not a good start to the trip when the pilot comes on the tannoy ten minutes after we were due to take off saying sorry for the delay, the original pilot that was due to fly has had to be replaced and new pilot has been called off standby and only just got here fifteen minutes ago!
Plus the lift thingy that puts the stuff into the back of the plane is broken and they're trying to fix it, so not even fully loaded yet!
