Live trip report: a quick trip back to the real world

That was fun. I got to pet a goat and a sheep. Things are looking ominous. The wind has kicked up and there is a bit of thunder rumbling in the distance. I think it's time to make way to the deluxe resorts to see the decorations. I hope the weather holds long enough to get to the bus.

Aint that the truth. Luckily I usually have a stroller full of children to store my stuff.



Eat something!

If this train will show up soon, I will happily get a bit of food to get me through until late lunch.

So far, so good. The rain is holding off. The train back to the main park is now departing. Time for some planning while the train makes its way back to the station.

Bus roulette, round two: AKL bus is filling up quick and there's a decent line. No bus for beach club. Poly is here and half full. You win!

And here comes the rain. This bus is wonderfully dry. The timing worked out perfect. I smelled garlic while leaving the park. My (Animal) Kingdom for a plate of pasta.

The closer to magic kingdom we get, the harder the rain comes down. At some point I need to get to Epcot. Hopefully I can wait out this rain.

I've got my Christmas tree picture from poly. Time to go to GF. I've been looking forward to this the most.

Did I mention that I love GF? It's ornate. The decorations are on point. I'm making my slow way to Epcot via a bus to Hollywood Studios and then the boat. The bus is not in any hurry to get to GF.

The bus has arrived! I do wish that I didn't have to leave GF. Can I just live here full time? Hollywood Studios next, immediately followed by a boat ride to Epcot.

Finally made it to Epcot and the weather is beginning to clear. Lunch in an hour. Walking now.

I did a lap of the world showcase to build up the hunger and get some kind of exercise in. The walk did very little to help the hunger, but seeing everyone walk around with a plethora of food did the trick. I want a thing of nachos, funnel cake, I've cream, chocolate, caramel, whatever that thing was that some random guy was chomping on, and pretzels. Waiting on my ADR for Rose and Crown.

There's a guy on a scooter with a drink in his hand and one in his lap yelling Merry Christmas to everyone he passes. Here's also come really close to winging a few garbage cans as he rides.

I've been seated outside, which kind of sucks. I was looking forward to a little air conditioning to cool off. The fans are having little effect on the temperature.

Edward James Olmos will be here for something. I couldn't hear the announcement, but I did hear Admiral Adama's name loud and clear. I'd like to meet the man, but I don't think I'll be in Epcot when he does whatever he's doing. I might be disappointed if he's not wearing his fleet uniform anyway.

Do you think the British servers get tired of talking Harry Potter to all the tourists who think being English means you're a wizard or a muggle?

My meal had ended. I have many mixed feelings about Rose and Crown. The burger and fries were very good. The service was lacking. My server was very nice and super friendly, but it seemed like I was forgotten most of the time. Maybe that was a fluke and I caught them on an off day. Whatever it was, it put a bit of a damper on the meal.

I'm on a bus back to the resort. It's raining now. My clothes are wet and my spirits are a little low after lunch. I think a shower and a change of clothes are in order. Plans to be determined soon.

I scoffed at the family that drove roughly three hundred meters from their room to the bus stop. It seemed like a dumb idea. As I walked easily double the distance back to my room in the rain, I wished I had that kind of forethought. I would probably be much more dry than I am at the moment.

I'm locked out of my room. If it were only due to a bad magic band, that would be one thing. Instead, band reader on the door is flat dead. How frustrating.
