Kona looks scrumptious! Last time we stayed at the Poly was Dec 2007, had a fabulous room, but said I'd never stay CL....if this old pocketbook ever has enough small change you can bet will put toward a Poly CL stay after seeing your reviews.

totally agree about Kona for lunch...we ate there about 3 weeks ago and had a great time, but Grand floridian cafe is even better for lunch IMHO.

Kona lunch would be perfect, except for the absence of my favorite bread and butter. That's why we always end up booking dinner instead. But you've convinced me...I simply must try the chicken plate lunch. It looks so good! We'll be trying Kona for lunch in December, I believe!

And here's 3 cheers for 2 extra nights of Poly CL! I'll drink to that!

Yeah I was really missing the bread too but we left full and happy so that was a good thing. 2 extra nights mean more food and booze and I will drink to that!

Congrats to you and Todd. DJ's DH and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at WDW in June. I think Todd and DJ's DH must be related as they constantly surprise us with all things Disney!

Way to go Todd! What a lucky girl you are! I'm jealous--I wish I were at Disney all the time. Isn't it funny how kids will tell you anything and not know that they are telling you something their parents wish they didn't? I heard there were pool hoppers. If we did that, we would get caught! Oh well, probably no harm done. Loving your dining reviews, keep 'em coming.

I think this will be our last trip for a while, at least until the Spring Can you imagine how many pool hoppers are really out there?

I am jumping on board . I am staying at the Poly a week from Saturday and am now seriously considering asking for an upgrade to CL, as it looks fabulous. Thanks for all your great reviews and I can't wait for more.

Oh man if you can swing it you should def get the upgrade to CL...there is nothing like it! I could sit in that lounge and sip tea and stare out at the castle all day long!

I'm sorry to hear your meal at Jiko wasn't great. Jiko is one of my favorites but last month I didn't love my meal there -- it wasn't bad, it just wasn't as good as I've had other times. In August on the other hand, it was fabulous! I think I just ordered the wrong thing this time -- I was trying to be different since I always get the shrimp dish which I love. I think I know what I'll be getting next time I've never had the filet there since I always want to try the more interesting dishes. Well, after your review, I really don't feel the need to try it at all!

Glad I was not the only one that was disappointed in my meal at Jiko...

Actually, I think my favorite meal of my last trip may have been The Wave -- I added it in thanks to your great review and several others I had read. I really enjoyed it and can't wait to go back in May!

Many thanks to you all for your kind words and for patiently waiting on my for an update! Where did we leave off? After Todd had a nap and we showered up and got ourselves presentable we headed to the lounge..we were the first ones there and alone for about 15 minutes so I was able to get some great pics.

This was a cranberry cheddar that was out of this world

A spreadable herb cheese, excellent

Pepper Jack that was delish

Uncrustables

Hummus and pitas

Sweet and Sour Meatballs and Egg Rolls

Sweet Mustard Sauce on the left, BBQ sauce on the right and the yellow is a spicy mustard sauce

Todd had a beer and I had ice tea...it was very good

The meatballs were awesome, they had so much flavor!

And then it was time to Party!

Just got caught up! First of all, the Poly CL looks amazing....some day when the kids are out of the house and we finally have disposable income again, we are totally doing a week there! Kona lunch also looked great...we've only done breakfast there before, but lunch and dinner are on our list to try as soon as we can. Looking forward to hearing about MVMCP and the dessert buffet!

We stayed AKL CL last year and thought that was awesome! The breakfast at AKL is better than Poly but the Poly dinner items cannot be beat!

That is the one thing that I dont like, no little menu cards describing the food like the AKL CL had. They were little breads and toast points with cream cheese or cheeses, meats, nuts, dried fruit...we had a few and they were good but I dont know what I ate

Todd is something else I have to tell you....a softy, romantic at heart, he does treat me like a Princess and at time I wonder what did I do to snag such a dream boy? He has brothers but they are the polar opposite from him...my poor sister in laws! Must be something about being the youngest child.....
