Ah, where do I start? MVMCP, the best! We have not been to one since 06 so this was a huge treat! The park was not busy at all...we did notice that right at 7pm they were checking everyone for a wrist band and if you didnt have one they politely tossed your tush to the gate. We were in like for a PP in front of the Castle and there was another couple in front of us that wanted to get their pic taken but they didnt have party tickets and the PP person refused to take their picture because it was party time and for guests only. They left very upset but we were glad the wrist band was enforced, after all we paid $100 to be there.

MK is just incredible!

DH decided that we should get something to eat and then party all night long so we went to Peco Bills.

Dinner041.jpg

If I was hungrier I would have ordered this, it looked awesome and alot of people were ordering it

Dinner042.jpg

He had the taco salad and really enjoyed it but he misses the raw onions, diced tomatoes and black olives. The shell was not greasy or stale so that was a plus. I even ate some and enjoyed it, didnt repeat on me like the P&P place does

Dinner043.jpg

I had the cheeseburger and fries....mostly because DH likes it and the topping bar and again, I really wasnt that hungry and knew he would eat most of it. DH smothered the fries in cheese and loaded up on pickles and mushrooms. I am telling you guys right now I will never ever eat another CS cheeseburger and fries because they are disgusting....the stupid whole wheat buns crumble into dust and the burgers are made of God knows what and the fries are just ick.

Here it is, the moment you have all been waiting for, the Dessert Party! We had a great night, no lines for anything, Space Mountain was not open last night but we will catch that later. Weather was gorgeous, everything was perfect! We arrived at the Noodleland Station thing around 8:30 and they sat us right away, there were 2 other couples there already and we were not supposed to show up until 8:50. Our table was directly under the wire that TinkerBelle flies on, the view was unreal....our name tag with Mickey confetti was on the table.

Dinner076.jpg

This is the best spot to watch the fireworks...you can sorta see the parade but not much. THey had 3 dessert tables and some of the same desserts were on each table. They had one long table with Ice Tea, Cocoa, Coffee, Assorted Teas, Water, Milk, Lemonade and assorted juices. You can go up as many times as you want. I was shocked at how empty it was, maybe 18 tables at the most, and out of that the majority was a table of 2.

I will give you this bit of advice, if you are going to do this party go hungry and have a very early dinner...there is just way too much to try!

The fruit was ok...not that tasty and a bit soft

Dinner064.jpg

Tiramisu, this was awesome! We each enjoyed this and had to get a second one.

Dinner067.jpg

Mango shooter...for those of you with babies it tastes like Gerber Peaches or if you went to the F&W this year it tastes like the Mango drink from India...it was excellent and very refreshing

Dinner068.jpg

Cheesecake, this was gross and tasted sour

Dinner069.jpg

Pumpkin Cheesecake..this was INCREDIBLE! I am a lover of all things pumpkin so I was beyond thrilled when I spied this among the throngs of treats...it was my favorite of the night

Dinner071.jpg

This is DH's plate...from 12 o'clock and going around, chocolate banana tart (this was gross), tiramisu (awesome), pumpkin cheesecake (to die for), cannolli (very good, crisp shell but the cream was too citrusy for me), cheesecake (BLECH!), chocolate peanut butter tart (wow the filling was amazing but we didnt like the shell), chocolate strawberry (how can this be bad? It was delish!), mango shooter in the middle (great and refreshing)

Dinner066.jpg

Here is my plate, from 12 o'clock and going around, rice krispie square (gross, very very stale), mango shooter, chocolate strawberry, brownie (very rich and fudgy, loved it), chocolate cheesecake (great!), chocolate chip cookie (very greasy and dry at the same time)

Dinner065.jpg

Overall we had so much fun at the Dessert Party, yummy treats, a PhotoPass Person right there for us with no lines, we chilled out for an hour and just had a nice time together..

Would I do this again? Sure would but not on every trip...maybe once a year or a special occasion.

For any of you who go to this party have a wonderful time and bring your hollow leg!

These photos are fabulous...but making me sooo hungry!! Everything looks so yummy. Did I miss a post about the Dessert Party? I've been out of the loop for so long that I've not even heard about the Dessert Party in the MK! Attended 2 at EPCOT, both private -can the MK one be booked?

So wonderful to see what a great time you're having - thanks so much for sharing it with us! :goodvibes

p.s. Missing the photo of your plate, but description sounds incredible...I'd be stuffing myself with those chocolate covered strawberries for sure.

After the fireworks we headed down Main Street to look in the shops...we were very disappointed with the party items this year, just tees and sweatshirts, a cup and dish set and a throw blanket...nothing special.

The ice cream parlor next to the Plaza had these adorable looking treats

Dinner117.jpg

On to Main Stree Candy Shop, how can we not go in there and stock up on Gingerbread men? Yes I bought a dozen and have them in my Tupperware thank you very much but I think we have as mouse in the room because there are two missing and I know I didnt eat them!

We were so exhausted from last night that we slept until 10am! I never do that! Well actually I was up at 7am but to tired to get out of bed so I fell asleep again....we barely made it to the lounge for breakfast, they stop serving at 10:30.

DH had a bagel, cinnamon buns and fruit. I had a banana, croissant and raisin bran. All of it was very good, just enough to get us going. They have a large selection of tea bags and I had the Earl Gray Lavender that the Wave serves. DH had coffee, they were out of OJ.

Around noon we were off to Hollywood Studios...the bus pulled up right away and we were the only ones on it all the way to the park! This is starting out great!

Everything looks wonderful -- what fun. If Markie ever stops wrestling, we're going to go to Disney one year for Christmas. Here is a picture of your buddy because "Nicki didn't take me with her to the dessert party!"

Wow what an unbelievable dessert selection! Glad to see you had a great time. Your reviews are so wonderful and your "pictoral documentation" :rotfl: is the best and greatly appreciated!

Hollywood Studios was all decked out for the holidays too!

Hollywood009.jpg

We had a light lunch since we were having an early dinner...a pretzel and it was great!

Hollywood005.jpg

We split a hot dog from Fairfax Fare...it would have been perfect if they gave us a doughy white bun! The cole slaw was great, I had to order a second one because we both love it and had the chili sauce for the dog served on the side...it was a good filling lunch to share but the line for the CS place was insane, took over 20 minutes just to order and they ran out of beans!

Hollywood006.jpg

The park was not busy at all...we waited 15 minutes for TSM and did a bunch of other rides with very little wait. While strolling to the Muppets we saw these cute little stands getting ready for the evening.

Hollywood008.jpg

Hollywood035.jpg

Oh, the dessert party looks gorgeous! If I pass that with my sugar under 150, I am going to be a saint!

I've got my bags pack and am ready to go! I will probably catch up on the rest of your reviews when I get home, Nicki. I hope you and Todd continue to have an incredible time!!! :goodvibes

Dinner tonight was Mama Melrose, we arrived earlier than our ressie time, the lobby was empty and we were seated right away. We had an amazing server, Marie, she was attentive and suggested some great stuff.

DH had a Coke and the champagne cocktail...he enjoyed it alot. I had the Spiked Fruit Punch and it was awesome...I wish I had room to order another one.

Hollywood030.jpg

No sooner did we order the calamari it was put on our table, hot yet but super greasy. It was ok, nothing special at all and the sauce they served with it was terrible. We prefer Tonys calamari to MM.

Hollywood029.jpg

Super hot rolls and olive oil came next, very good :thumbsup2

Hollywood031.jpg

I had a wonderful salad with cranberries, pears, gorgonzola cheese, mixed greens and candied walnuts with a sweet dressing...oh man I could eat these salads all the time, I am going to have to make them at home! Todd ate some too and he liked it alot but prefers the one at Jiko.

Hollywood032.jpg

DH had the spicy sausage peppers and onions with penne...it was gross. Way too spicy, too many peppers, the sausage was a cheap grade and very dry and tough and the sauce was inedible....huge glob of goat cheese on top and that was awesome.

Hollywood019.jpg

I had the shrimp pipette..hold the peppers....it was the creamiest, tastiest, tenderest, most wonderful pasta shrimp dish I have had yet. THere were 5 HUMONGOUS shrimp in there and tons of artichoke hearts, peas, tons of flavor..can you tell I liked it?

Hollywood018.jpg

Our server noticed that we were sharing my dish and pushed DH's to the side so she came over to check on us and asked DH if he would like to order what I was having and he said sure..she wisked away his dish and brought out a double of mine and we were both happy...and there was no additional charge, she removed the sausage and added the shrimp pasta.

We were too full for dessert but she brought us a dish of chocolate gelato as an anniversary gift...I could not stand but one bite and DH tore into it but he was expecting what we had at Il Mulino and this was just icky chocolate ice cream

Hollywood034.jpg

We would def go back to MM but make sure we order something that pasta dish! By the time we left the place was slamming!

After dinner we went to use our FP for TSM and again, there was a 20 minute line for stand by, not bad!

After I kicked DH's butt for the second time today we headed over to the lights!

Of course we had to get a snack, caramel corn and a hot cocoa in an adorable Xmas travel mug

We left HS exhausted and ready for a cup of tea and rest....the other day I had given the CL Todd's shorts, just bought them and he broke the zipper the first time he wore them so they were nice enough to send them out yesterday and they were back today..the CL could not find them but within 10 minutes he was knocking on the door, he found them!

We made it to the lounge and they put out the same chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies that we have seen all day every day. THey had brownies and vanilla cupcakes too but that was it. Nothing spectacular here.

Even prettier at night!

Hollywood047.jpg

How the hubbykins can even think of more sweets is beyond me but he nibbled on all three and said they were gross.

Hollywood039.jpg

The plan was to come upstairs and wait until 9:30 for the fireworks but he fell asleep and I didnt want to wake him up...I need him rested for the next 4 days of fun!

I have no clue what we are going to do tomorrow...besides a late dinner at Citricos, we will probably check out the Poly lounge for the appies....for pictures (ya right!). I want to see if the GF lobby is decked out and hopefully get some pictures on the PhotoPass. I have yet to purchase some but I have alot so hopefully we will look decent in them and I will post them on here.

No clue what we are doing tomorrow..if it is sunny we will go to the pool and eat lunch at Capt Cooks but if the weather is eh we may go to AK.

Stay tuned and thanks for being patient about the updates!

The dessert party is in the Tomorrowland Noodle Terrace and I think it started in August through Oct but they extended it until the end of the year..I think we paid $46 for the two of us. It was a blast!

WOW. Just wow -

Jaime

Yup, thats what I have been saying lately!

It was unbelievable...so much to choose from! Poor DH, he was ready to fall asleep right afterwards but I kept him moving! I hope you have a wonderful trip yourself!

He got them at work. He had to have them when he saw the palm tree...said it was the closest he'd get to a palm tree in awhile.

We were just talking about maybe forgetting about our September trip (which we probably won't be able to do with having to get a car, etc.), but coming for four days in November to see the Christmas lights. Maybe we can coordinate next year? I know we'd have a blast!

The updates were worth the wait:goodvibes. I am really going to try and convince hubby to take us next year to see the lights and decorations. I am soo glad you are having a good time. The pics are great.

What wonderful reviews!! Oh man, I can't wait for the dessert party now!! That pumpkin cheesecake looks soo good! Between that and the pistachio creme brulee...I may go into sugar coma myself!!

So glad you all are having such a good time!

Hi MickeyNicki!

Just discovered your report--LOOOVE IT! I'm inspired to make a trip to FL next Nov./Dec., you should get a commission from WDW!

I really need to go back for the holiday stuff again sometime soon. I'm thinking maybe in 2011 I'll do an early November trip, so I can be there for the end of F&W and the start of MVMCP and the Osborne Lights, and hit two birds with one stone. ;)
