Live reports from MNSSHP 2012!

I am soooo excited. This will be our first MNSSHP. I haven't bought our tickets yet because we are waiting on the weather report. Fingers crossed and prayers going up that it will be a pleasant night for us in mid Oct.

Anyway...thanks so much for all the info in this thread. I'm making my plans right now. Our must do list is Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, Maleficient, Dr. Facilier, Frollo & Gaston, the 2nd parade, fireworks and Stitch dance party. Wouldn't mind catching Cruella as well.

Any thoughts if this is doable?

I went last night and was able to go on Big thunder mountain, many adventures of Pooh, Barnstormer, Tea cups, Dumbo. I was able to take pictures with Capt. Hook, Cruella, Pooh and Friends, Aurora and Prince Phillip, 7 Dwarves, Alice and Mad Hatter, Mickey and Minnie, Cinderella and Prince Charming, Flynn and Rapunzel, and Snow White and the Prince. I watched the Villians Mix and Mingle show, the 2nd parade and the Fireworks. I also went through all of the trick or treating places except one trail.

Thank you for all of your helpful comments (to original poster and other contributors). We plan to go to MNSSHP in about a week with our toddler. He probably does not care so much about the Villains photo-op/autograph, but I know he will want to see the Villains show itself. (loves singing and dancing) How big/bad are the crowds for the Villains show? How soon would we have to arrive for the 745 or 845 shows to get a good spot to watch and to hear the singing, etc.? Thanks!!

I, too, would like to know if you can SEE the 7 dwarfs and others, enough to take a photo, but not have to wait in line? I want to get a pciture, but not necessarily wait for a M&G. Or are they tucked away?

For those of you who have met Mix and Mingle Villains, what's your advice? We tried last year, but the hub was crazy crowded and we couldn't even get close to the villains. This year, we will be Peter Pan and Wendy and I definitely want to try for Hook. Go to the Villain's show first thing?

Will the characters be in same place for every party? Plus does whole family que up for characters before it starts just thinking of my 4 year old

unless it rains.... when we went in 2010 it rained at the beginning of the party (the rest of the night the weather was great) but they scrambled to move many of the M&G places, and made an announcement that if you couldn't find who you were looking for just ask a CM, which we did, and got sent on a wild goose chase and still never found who we were looking for after about 3 times of doing this we just gave up and happened to stumble on a few.... but there were a couple I was disappointed that we never got to see

So excited! great thread. I am going with my DGD6 in 33 days! I want to see the Dwarves and Cruella, but especially the Mad Hatter and alice and the Queen of Hearts.! I just love the parties and the headless horseman and the parade and the Hallo Wishes! Boo!

From what I have read, Jafar is meeting at the hub in front of the castle.

How was the line for Capt Jack? Is he a get there early character?

Yes, many characters have PP photographers with them. I fully expect the usual three magic shots as in past years--HM ghost carriage, HM hitchhiking ghosts, and PotC building.

Sotmk card is one per person with ticket & wristband. They punch your ticket once you receive it.

I started collecting the SOTMK cards for my grandson on my last trip....figures that we aren't doing Halloween this year! Going in November for Xmas instead! It would be cool to have this card for his collection.

Any chance someone attending will have multiples and care to share????

Hi! We MAY have an extra one for you. If they allow one per wristband and the cards are all the same then I will gladly share with you. We will be there Sept 28th. Let me know if this works for you?

We were at MVMCP this past December. The 7 Dwarves are in the same spot at MNSSHP. I was able to walk back there and see them. I snapped a couple of pics of them when 1 family left, before another one stepped in. Not sure if this allowed or not, but the CM's didn't seem to mind. I'm sure as long as you are not getting any other guests in your picture, it is fine.

To answer your question, they are not tucked away. You can definitely get close to them and not have to wait in the long line.

No, the one they did last year made it look like the building was on fire with an orange glow above it.

If so, the PP photog that does the picture stands right out in the middle of the main walkway by PotC.

Just read through the whole thread...going on 10/4. Plan to line up for the dwarves at 6pm and then we will head right over to Jack Sparrow..I assume he will be in Adventureland but can anyone tell me where exactly?
