Will the characters be in same place for every party? Plus does whole family que up for characters before it starts just thinking of my 4 year old

They tend to stay in the same place throughout the entire season, though there were a couple changes last year made part way through the parties. That's rare though.

Thanks for all the updates!!! We won't be going to MNSSHP, but will hopefully attend MVMCP! Are they characters usually the same for both parties?

No - MNSSHP is focused around villains. MVMCP will have these different characters: Peter Pan, Wendy, Belle, and Beast.

I'm going on the 18th!!! Really want a photo with Lotso. Where will he be?

He (along with Tremaines and Gaston) are in the main Hub, in front of the Castle. His pinkness is hard to miss if you keep an eye out for him.

Are any of the characters (Duffy, the princesses, Lotso, etc) in special halloween costumes? I know that Pooh and friends, Mickey/Minnie/Donald/Daisy usually are but is anyone else?

In addition to the VIPS and Pooh, Duffy & Stitch are the only other characters that dress up for the event.

Can anyone tell me if Stitch does a meet and greet at the party? Also is he in costume? And where he meets?

He's in his 626 alien form at the Tomorrowland Dance Party. UDCHG hasn't posted a Stitch photo from last night yet, here's a photo from wdw character hunt.

I feel like this is such a stupid question.... do I need to bring like .. something to put my candy in? or do they distribute bags? I'll feel so silly if I have no where to put it...

I have read they will give you a small bag, but you are allowed to bring much larger bags if you want to. I'm bringing a tote bag, not just for candy, but if it happens to get filled up...oh well

As mentioned, they give you a small bag. We always take a backpack with us to throw our candy bags into. Much easier to drop the backpack for a photo op than it would be to carefully put down our 4 bags of candy every time. We only get our bags out for candy stops and the parade. Make sure you have your bag out for the parade (especially the end), because parade CMs will drop candy in them as they go by.

Sotmk card is one per person with ticket & wristband. They punch your ticket once you receive it.

Exit of Splash where Jesse and Woody meet during the day. Behind the playground but before the restrooms.

I will be receiving my first SOTMK cards while we are at the party. Will I be able to get my starter pack around 4 and then my MNSSHP card after 7? Or will I only be able to get one or the other? I am very new at this.

Were any of the "dead" residents of the Haunted Mansion there this year? I hope to see them on this trip, missed them previous times.

And any sign of Hades? Sooooo badly want to meet him. Would like to see Frollo and Radcliffe too!

This is a great thread. We are doing MNSSHP on 9/25. We'll definitely be getting some characters, trick or treating, taking in the shows and parade etc. Can't wait.

Looking forward to the random characters that are "not adverstised" that we may be able to see. Hope to find some info on that before we go!

Anyway...thanks so much for all the info in this thread. I'm making my plans right now. Our must do list is Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, Maleficient, Dr. Facilier, Frollo & Gaston, the 2nd parade, fireworks and Stitch dance party. Wouldn't mind catching Cruella as well.

Any thoughts if this is doable?

Your list sounds a lot like mine! I don't need Dr. Facilier or Frollo, but I am definitely hoping for pics with Gaston, Maleficient and Cruella. Fingers crossed you get everyone you are hoping for!

I recently moved and can no longer make my annual trip to WDW for MNSSHP. It will be so missed but I am trying to make up for by going to Disneyland Paris next month.

However, my son collects the SOMK cards, the ones given out at the firehouse and behind the Christmas shop. During MNSSHP they are giving out our very favorite Chip and Dale as a card.

Could I please take this time to beg. I would be so grateful if anyone going to the MNSSHP would please consider picking up this free card for my son. I of course am glad to pay for the postage to get it to us.

So am I correct in that there are no changes to the character line up over last year? If so that is a bit of a bummer. We went to several parties last year and met everyone. We were hoping for someone new.

In the map they hand out for MNSSHP do they list all the character meet and greets by name, telling you who will meet and where? I can't remember if they did this 2 years ago. Does anyone have a list of what character you can get photos with during MNSSHP, and are they they same every party or do they change?

We are going the 25th for the 2nd time but my in-laws and parents are going for the 1st time. I want to decide ahead of time, if possible which characters are most important to my DD9 to meet, so we aren't wasting precious time in every character line. I want her to pick maybe 4 or 5 she wants to meet ahead of time.
