Monday afternoon update -
A couple of answers to questions -
Someone asked how the Fisherman's Pie dish was at the Ireland kiosk. It was very good. A creamy sauce with bits of seafood covered with mashed potatoes. So far our favorite foods have been the Lobster Roll and Crab Cake at the American kiosk. But really we haven't tried anything that we haven't liked.
Someone else asked about the crowds. So far we've been lucky and the crowds haven't been too bad. I thought Epcot would be more crowded yesterday, with it being the first weekend for F&W, but they seemed light to us. And today they weren't bad either. We're heading back to MK tonight though and I expect a heavy crowd since this is the only night MK is open late this week except for the two
MNSSHP nights.
The weather has been absolutely perfect so far. You could not ask for a prettier day today. Sun has been out all day, but the temperature has been in the low 80's. Considering we just went through a very hot summer, I'm not complaining at all.
Well here is what we've done so far. I let DW sleep in this morning and then we headed back to Epcot. We went down to the bus, but it seemed to be taking forever to come, so I told DW to come on and we walked over to the boats an took a boat to the Contemporary and then the monorail to Epcot. It probably took longer doing this, but at least I felt like we were making some progress.
After we got to Epcot, we went over and got FP's for Soarin (got there around 10:30 and FP was for 2:00, not too bad). We then road Living with the Land. We then headed to WS. Walked around and had lunch at several kiosks. The food has been great, though the portions are kind of small. But that makes it possible to try multiple food items. We then went to American Adventure, which is one of our favorites.
After that, we headed back to FW for our ride on Soarin. Like a lot of folks, this is my favorite ride in all of WDW. I just wish it lasted a little longer. After Soarin, we went to see the fishes at Living Seas.
We're now back in the room, resting our feet before heading to MK.
